"Everything was perfect. I called and left a message around 10:30 am and a very nice woman got back to me within 30 minutes. She said one of their guys would get back to me soon and schedule a time to come to my house. Ryan called and let me know he'd be able to come by in a couple of hours. Sure enough he arrived just when he said he would, and fixed my garage door no problem. He even took a look at another door that sometimes gave me some trouble. "Original bid was $850. Somehow it ended up costing $1200. I'd rather know the price up front than be lied to. Every trip he made to the house there was a new issue that increased price. I have since spoken to a couple of installers who assured me that the items he charged me extra for should have been included at no charge and he should have known to look for them when he did the original bid. Like how thick was the existing door and the replacement door? Charging extra to replace trim that you removed? I wouldn't use him again. Which is sad. I would have paid the higher price if that's what he had quoted to begin with, but to nickel and dime at every turn seems shady and I don't want to business with that kind of businessman. The house was under contract and he knew that I had to get the job done, which he gladly took advantage of, running up the price. Don't take advantage of people. It isn't nice. Like I said, I needed the job completed, the issue wasn't the price, I would have paid the $1200, the issue was the way that the man does business. If this is the way that Wayne treated me, I shudder to think of how he would take advantage of someone else who would be easy to take advantage of, say and elderly person or someone else who was rushed. It's better to be up front and honest. The job took longer than anticipated but not excessively. I've noticed that any home improvement job seems to take longer than scheduled."

The new fence they built was a custom job. I emailed pictures of a fancy craftsman style fence and gate with a pergola, and mission styling that I found on the internet. I asked, "Can you build something like this?" and sent some basic measurements. What Ben and his crew crafted exceeded my expectations! It is so much more artistic than the original. They clearly take pride in their work, understood my vision, and worked to create something really beautiful. Ben chose solid hardware with gorgeous details, and pieces of cedar selected for their lovely woodgrain as well as durability. Even as a layperson, I can see that in no way did they skimp on materials to save overhead for themselves, but chose solid hardware details that will last, and really add to the beauty of this final creation. Estimates were fair and detailed. I asked for an assessment of whether I could get away with fence repair instead of replacement. At no time did I feel pressured into the more expensive replacement. Their estimates were modest and the work done is solid! The crew was at my house for 3 days total. Every afternoon, they left the property very clean, even using a vacuum for the sawdust. I have yet to find a single misplaced nail or screw. Additionally, the crew was polite, friendly, and they seemed just as excited about the beautiful craft they were making as I was! It was a pleasure to welcome them here every day. I enthusiastically recommend this service provider. I will be contracting with them again in the future for some stairs I need added to my deck, siding, and perhaps future beautifcation projects that require a skilled and careful carpenter."
