"Arrived exactly when they said. Put down a drop cloth for protection. Used a round brush to clean up inside the fireplace & a hand brush to brush the reachable parts. As the soot fell, a heavy duty vacuum was used to suck up any fly-away soot & the rest was scooped up & taken away. Whole process for a very dirty fireplace that hadn't been swept in probably 10-15 years only took about 30 minutes. They left the surrounding area just as clean as when they arrived. Amazing considering what they're working with - very fine black powder falling down from inside a chimney. I was impressed. He also told me the cap & everything else looked really good so I knew I had nothing more to worry about."

"<p>We were very impressed with Golden's professionalism and service. They called the day before to re-confirm the appointment, and arrived promptly on time the day of service. The two technicians were very careful during the cleaning, taking extra care to keep our new carpet from getting dirty. In the end, the fireplace was clean & tidy and the inspection of the flu/chimney/cap showed that everything was in good working order. They were also very attentive to answering our questions and making recommendations as to the type of grate we needed to replace our old one. We will definitely look to Golden's again when the time comes for our next cleaning and inspection!</p> <br />"

"<p>Awesome. This company is professional and they care about their quality of work and the customer. Mike Rine came out pretty quick after our call and was the first contractor to return our call of several I called. We ended up evaluating five contractor bids. </p> <p>Mike was great, totally professional. He showed me where the leak was potentially coming from and what they would need to do to take care of it. They also bid on repairing the flat roof. Our roof was the original from 1986. So we knew time was limited and we were also considering re-roofing based on the previous leak history.  Mike thought we could go another year or two, as we are counting our pennies. Mike explained everything thoroughly, regardless of the fact I had no roofing background. This was a major plus for Roofstar compared to other contractors who did not explain things. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />After reviewing 4 other bids from other A rated Angie's contractors, we decided to call Mike back to bid on the whole roof instead of just the repair. We felt he was trust worthy, detailed and honest.  He still encouraged us we could wait another 2 years, but that since this was a good time for us with a 27 year old roof to move forward in doing the re-roofing now. </p> <p><br />As requested, Mike submitted a second proposal, this time for re-roofing instead of repair and repair to the flat patio roof and recoat.  Any questions we had Mike answered and documented it in an email.  A few things stood out: <br /> <br />1. They don't subcontract. This was a plus. The employees are theirs.<br /> <br />2. Manufacturer provides a 10 yr warranty on their underlayment material. <br /> <br />3. Roofstar provided a 10 year workmanship warranty. </p> <p><br />They did an awesome job. They were immaculate, every day the property was cleaned up and left SPOTLESS!  <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />At the end of the job the company owner Jeff Knudson came out and personally inspected the job and personally took care of a minor item I noted. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />I want to make a special note they were very conscious we had two small dogs in our backyard at times and they all dutifully closed our gate.</p> <p>Juan was the lead on the job, and handled everything on the daily basis. Roofstar's owner stopped by during the job a couple of  times to review the status and at the end did a final inspection, this really impressed me.  James came back and did a small touch up I requested.  The whole team was very good. </p> <p><br /></p> Their price was right at mid point of the bids we received. <br />"

"Great! Another company had said the fireplace needed new valve and gave $1,044 estimate. Arizona Fireplaces did basic maintenance and replaced a switch for $185 service call and it works fine now. Even if new valve had been needed it would have only added a couple hundred dollars to cost. Very reputable and know what they are doing. Highly recommend them."

"John found the leak at the skylight. He repaired the roof, corrected errors made by an earlier roofer and replaced the skylight. In the other area he removed the tiles, repaired the underlayment, found and replaced corner tiles and used cement to ensure they stayed in place. I have been using John since the '90s and remain very satisfied with his work. You won't go wrong choosing him."

"I've used this company four times over the last ten years. It says a lot that I'd actually never met Eddie or AC until this year as they have always done the work at my rentals without anyone there. The work has always been outstanding and done for a good price."

"Butch and his office staff are very friendly but I was disappointed with the quality of the work. This was a very small job, maybe 8-12 tiles slipping down the roof leaving gaps in coverage and 2-3 missing tiles that needed to be replaced. The job took three visits to complete. After the first visit I complained that there were still a couple tiles out of place leaving gaps in the roof coverage and there was still a missing tile that had not been replaced. On the second visit they replaced the missing tile with a spare tile I left for them but did not fix the gaps from the tiles that were still out of place. <br /> <br /> On the third visit I was home and talked with Butch. Butch indicated that the tiles were just placed on the roof and were not fastened down so they would probably slip down again in another 2-3 years. For $500 I was expecting a more permanent solution than just kicking the tiles back into place! To Butch's credit he got some caulking and secured the tiles on the third visit."

"A+! He was punctual, informative, covered the area where he worked and left the area spotless. Our damper has never worked, but we didn't bring this up to Lou. On his own, he noticed it and told us that mortar was dropped on the damper when the chimney was built (in 1952) and stuck to the damper and that's why it didn't work. Who knew?! Although we didn't ask him to, he tried to remove some of the mortar to see if he could get the damper working He went over and above what he was hired to do, but did not charge us any more than his original phone quote for chimney cleaning. Additionally, he used a spray cleaner to clean the soot off our white painted bricks around fireplace. It worked so well that I asked him for the product name so I could buy some. When we paid him what he had quoted, he gave us, free of charge, the bottle of spray. We appreciated the energy/safety tips he provided, but he didn't "push" or "hard sell" us. We'd hire him again."

"Wolff Mechanical was very professional & reponsive from the very first contact I had with them on the phone through the sales rep who came to house that afternoon to review options with me about the purchase of a new heat pump.  The installation crew was extremely thorough & professional.  I was happy to see that the crew kept me abreast of anything that was unusual during the installation & got my approval before they did anything that was not normally done.  Overall, I was very impressed with Wolff's service & would use them in the future. <br /> <br /> Unfortunately,  this brand new system had a failure after only 2 1/2 months.  One of the reasons I bought the system that I did was a promise of improved reliability.  I called Wolff immediately, & was told they could not send a tech out until the following afternoon.  After purchasing a system that cost over $8000, I would expect service to be a little more prompt in responding to my call.  Fortunately,  the tech determined that there was a small problem with the installation of a sensor switch in my attic which cause the system to trip, & shut down. <br /> <br /> The other thing I' disappointed with is that I requested to speak to someone in charge be it a service manager, repair supervisor, or someone in authority.  The only Wolff rep I heard from was the gentleman who came out to give me a proposal for the new system, & that was only by phone.  I was also kept waiting until nearly 6PM for the service tech to arrive.  Because of the above issues,  I have had to downgrade Wolff for quality & punctuality."
