"Eli and his team were great, not only for the powerwashing job, but also for several other small jobs we needed done. He was a valuable member of our team in renovating our warehouse/showroom."

Small jobs welcome

"Window Wizards did an excellent job. They pressure washed my driveway, walkway, back patio, and also washed and cleaned my patio doors. Window Wizards was very professional and did a thorough job and I would definitely hire them again and refer them to others."

"My wife and I were remodeling a 50 year old house with many outdated items. We originally hired Double Diamond to replace a kitchen sink that involved removal and reinstallation of tile. Rather than hiring a tile expert, a plumber and a handyman to do the work, we took a chance on Double Diamond. Their "can do" attitude gave us the confidence to hire them on other projects. Double Diamond proceeded to replace rotted exterior wood, install cook top and vent, repair outdoor plumbing, as well as replace patio cover. We are extremely happy with all the work they did and communication could not be better/easier. Double Diamond will be our first call on all of our home improvement/repair needs."

"I'm very particular & wanted to hire a painting contractor who specialized in using Dunn-Edwards Paint. Fortunately I located M.A.C.P.-- Their painter (Dominic) listened to my preferences and did a great job painting my homes interior. I hope to consider using them again in the future to paint the exterior of my house.--However, my only disappointment was: (a) I didn't receive the overall 10% Senior Discount promised me in the beginning and (b) the job was spread out over 5 full days, instead of the original 3 day maximum! - Part of this was due to having only one painter responsible for painting the whole interior (except for the kitchen & master bedroom) without a helper."

FAQs for powerwashing projects in Fountain Valley, CA

Different fence materials require specific pressure levels for safe, effective cleaning. Softwood fences need gentle treatment at 500 PSI maximum, while more durable materials like vinyl and steel can withstand up to 2,000 PSI. Wrought iron fences tolerate the highest pressure at approximately 2,300 PSI. Always begin with the lowest effective setting and maintain appropriate distance from the surface to prevent damage, gradually adjusting as needed based on cleaning results and material response.

The primary distinction between pressure washing and power washing lies in water temperature. Standard pressure washing equipment uses ambient temperature water, while power washing incorporates heated water for enhanced cleaning capability. The heat component makes power washing particularly effective for stubborn stains and organic growth, but it costs more than conventional pressure washing. For routine fence maintenance, standard pressure washing provides sufficient cleaning power without the additional expense.

The decision between professional service and DIY fence cleaning depends on several factors, including equipment access, technical knowledge, and fence characteristics. Equipment rental costs between $40 and $90 daily, making DIY viable for smaller projects. However, professionals bring expertise in appropriate pressure settings, efficient techniques, and proper cleaning solutions. For delicate materials like softwood or ornate fence designs, professional service significantly reduces the risk of damage while ensuring thorough cleaning results.

The duration of a fence pressure washing project varies based on multiple factors, including fence size, material, condition, and accessibility. A standard residential fence cleaning requires several hours to complete, with preparation, cleaning, and cleanup all factored into the timeline. Heavily soiled surfaces, intricate designs, or limited access points may extend the project duration. When planning your schedule, allow sufficient time for the fence to dry completely before applying any treatments or sealants.
