"Andrew and his crew did a beautiful job on my kitchen. The remodel included removing and replacing drywall on 2 walls and the ceiling, recessed lighting, new tile flooring, new cabinets, granite countertops and new backsplash. They paid a lot of attention to details to ensure that everything looks good. That is important to me since I tend to be a bit of a perfectionist. From the start, the goal seemed to be to provide the best outcome that my budget would allow. They always kept me in the loop when unexpected issues popped up, which is bound to happen in a 63 year old house. In addition to the planned work, they ended up replacing insulation, adding an additional gas shut off valve and re-doing the wiring so it is all grounded. (None of it was grounded before.) All of that plus some plumbing revisions added up to an additional $3680, but it all needed to be done and done properly. Lauren Baldwin (Cabinets by Amy and Lauren) came up with a beautiful design and was very helpful and patient through several changes that were needed to stay within my budget. We changed the countertops 3 times which also required changes to flooring and backsplash choices. The end result looks like something you would see on HGTV! All in all, it was easy to work with Andrew and his team. They cleaned up every night, kept me updated and answered all my questions. They brought in experts to assist with plumbing, drywall and some electrical issues. With the exception of the above noted additional work and a few days delay on the granite, due to a machine breakdown, I think it all went as smoothly as could be expected in an older home. In the end, I went over my original “hoped for” budget and even a even a little over the upper end, due to the extra costs but you get what you pay for. I would recommend A.B. Graham Contractors and would hire again if I need something done."

"My brother’s basement flooded from a malfunctioning valve in his washing machine. There was a great deal of water that sat for some time before the issue was discovered. Fortunately, I knew just who to call when he needed a hand. I called MSI and spoke to the owner Joe, who arrived with his crew at my brother’s home within an hour. They were very considerate of the current safety recommendation and wore masks and gloves during our entire encounter and went to work immediately. Among easing our anxiety, they extracted all of the water, cleaned, and dried the basement, leaving some drying equipment behind to ensure that nothing was left soiled. When Joe came back to pick up his equipment, he also checked over everything thoroughly and performed mold testing. It’s tough to find thorough, affordable, and reliable companies anymore, but Joe and his team exceeded all of our expectations time and time again. Thanks so much guys!"

"This guy. Hire this guy. <br /> Had a sewer lateral replaced and in the process lost a slab of concrete at the curb and one in a walkway from the driveway to the front steps. The sidewalk to the front steps was in rough shape to begin with, so I asked Phil to fix the slab at the curb and the entire walkway from driveway to front steps. <br /> He came out a couple of times to look at the job -- gave me a price -- price was competitive to what I had been quoted earlier. The thing about Phil was that he didn't just want to do the job --he wanted to do it RIGHT. <br /> Came out and prepped the area.  <br /> Weather interfered and it was a while before he could do the the pour. Communication was great. Phil calls me last week and tells me he can *probably* get the pour in and it will be fine, but if there's rain he might have to tear the whole thing out and do it over. My call. Doesn't want to inconvenience me further with torn up sidewalks. <br /> Any other contractor would have poured it and told me the rain was "no problem". <br /> Sidewalk it done, it looks wonderful, and while I don't have the money right now I have more concrete work I need done in the future. All of those jobs automatically belong to Phil. There was a corner of my front steps that I had done a repair on years ago. It came loose while he was doing the demo. They identified two areas of trouble; my patio slab connected to the back of my basement and two vertical cracks 10 feet high.  They poured concrete and replaced the slab including a bell drain for drainage which came out very nice. Even built a stair that leads to the sliding glass patio.  They repaired the vertical crack by digging down to the bottom of my wall (excavated) and they used this waterproof gel, then filled the space back with dirt. It looks very nice. The waterproofing and concrete work came with a warranty which gave me comfort. They also sprayed the basement with a mold remediation product and did an OZONE treatment to purify the air.
