"Absolutely the best response time I have received from any service provider.
Called this morning to hopefully schedule something in the week to repair a broken spring that was discovered last night. To my pleasant surprise the lady was able to give me a 3 hour window today! The technician (Al) arrived well within the window and was an absolute delight to do business with. He was polite, nice, and got right into to the project. He explained that both springs would need to be replaced since both were pretty worn which made sense and saved me an additional service call. No pressure or upscales which were a breath of fresh air.
Repairs were completed promptly and he walked me through the process of what was done and where to do routine maintenance to keep everything in top shape.
My highest accolades to this company and this employee in particular. My wife and I plan to upgrade garage doors in the next year and will put Overhead Door company on the top tier for vendors we get pricing from.

"I once again purchased an Angie's list special to install a curtain rod over a sliding door, fix a closet system, install a new hanging bracket in a broom closet and to haul a large piece of cabinetry out to the garage.

I asked for Mark as I've had him out to my home before and he got so much done! Everything on my list was completed.  I was hoping for just the four things but much to my delight much more was accomplished. He even hauled the cabinet out to the garage in the rain despite my suggestion that it could wait until next time.  I couldn't be more pleased."

"Shawn and his workers did another fantastic job for us. They added additional space to our pavilion deck to allow improved access to our swim spa. He has done several other projects for us that have turned out so well. He'll continue to be our first choice as we continue to improve our home."

"Really well. I don't usually take the time to write reviews, but I felt Green Home Installations earned this one. They helped take the ideas we had for our kitchen and turned it into something even better than we envisioned. We now have the kitchen of our dreams, and I could not be more grateful. Everyone involved from start to finish made the process so smooth, and are in LOVE with the results. 5 stars all around."

"Roger and his team worked efficiently and professionally. There was clear and ongoing communication from start to finish. The backyard design is not only very functional and low maintenance, as desired, but it is absolutely gorgeous! I would definitely recommend this company."

"Eric and his team put in new vinyl windows replacing the originals. Put in a new front door. Quality work. Reasonable price. He showed up as promised and worked every day until finished. Eric is great to work with. Honest as they come."

FAQs for storm door installation projects in Friendsville, TN

For mobile homes, look for a lightweight storm door designed specifically for manufactured housing. A slimmer frame eases installation and reduces added stress on the doorway, while removable glass or screen panels allow you to switch between airflow and complete protection in minutes. The result is solid weather defense without unnecessary weight and a door that remains easy to operate season after season.

A well-installed and well-maintained storm door can add modest value by improving curb appeal, increasing security, and reducing energy loss. If the door is faded, dented, or hanging loosely, those benefits disappear—and may even harm first impressions. Professional installation ensures the door seal is correctly aligned and keeps the hardware in place, allowing the upgrade to deliver both visual and practical benefits that buyers notice.

Most storm doors last 25 years, and high-end models, when properly cared for, can reach 50 years. Lifespan depends on the frame material, glass quality, and the amount of punishment the door receives from wind, rain, or sun. Regular cleaning, fresh weatherstripping, and prompt repairs keep hinges tight and glass secure, helping the door reach its maximum lifespan.

Allow three to five hours to set a standard pre-hung storm door if the opening is in good condition. If you need to widen the frame or repair wood rot, expect the job to take a whole day to complete. A seasoned installer can complete the job faster and ensure the door sits square, seals tightly, and operates smoothly, saving time that often outweighs the DIY time commitment.

Most single exterior doorways can accommodate a storm door, provided the frame dimensions match those of the new unit. Patio and sliding glass doors are the main exceptions because their tracks won’t support the extra door. If you’re unsure about clearances or hinge placement, consider bringing in a door installer to measure the opening and recommend any necessary adjustments for a secure fit.
