"We have a spring that goes under our drive way so we have to wait until it was extremely dry to have it done. We had to change the date but it wasn't because they didn't try to come. It was because of unforeseen circumstances This is the first time we've had an asphalt driveway and this is the first time we're getting it sealed. The people before that lived here never took care of that. the company was very good they made sure everything was aligned they did a good job they are going to come back Thursday because once it was dry there was a couple of spots that need some additional work done. They did give us a discount for using them from Angie's list. We had those couple of spots that need to be touched up but they are more than happy to come out and make us happy. They were very accommodating. Since we had that problem, they are trying to make sure that everything is dry so that they can do a good job. They came out a couple of time but weren't able to do the job.They are in Richmond and we are north of Richmond by about 20 miles It wasn't easy for them to always come out here but they did they were very responsible. If we had questions they always got back to us. If they weather changed they would call and let us know that they weren't going to come out. I think they are a good company."

"Tracy Diamond arrived right on time to survey the area and walked around with me to see exactly what I wanted done since I was expanding an area which required the removal of two tree stumps. In short order he had a written estimate done and said to call when I made a decision. I was in the process of obtaining a loan so I told him it would probably be a couple weeks before I was sure I got the loan and had made my decision between him and the other contractors. After obtaining the loan and other estimates; I chose Diamond's Paving for numerous reasons; they were more in line with my budget and were the only contractor that stated there would be three full inches of asphalt applied as opposed to the one or two inches from the others. Tracy Diamond and the folks I spoke to at the office were always very pleasant and professional and quick to return phone messages. The Diamond family/crew arrived bright and early the first day (Monday) and began with the stump removal, grading and general preperation. They worked well into the early evening almost non-stop with a large backhoe, a small bulldozer, a steam roller, dump trucks, shovels and brooms. Since it was going to rain the next day, they said they would be back on Wednesday. As promised, they arrived bright and early and immediately got to work. They were still working and about halfway down the driveway when I had to leave in the early afternoon. When I returned after dark, I could see the driveway was completed and it was roped off so no traffic could enter and ruin the new asphalt. The next morning, Tracy Diamond arrived and made sure I was completely satisfied with the job. He explained that he had one side of the parking area roped off and advised that I keep off of it for an extended period of time because that was where they pulled up the stumps and roots and laid down a new base for the asphalt...just to be sure it would set up really well. He answered several questions I had about future care of the asphalt and made sure I knew the work was guaranteed for a year. I can not say enough good things about this family company. They have been an absolute pleasure to deal with and are just some of the nicest people you would ever want to interact with."

"We had a bad winter storm with high winds. Many of the asphalt shingles flew off the garage roof and we needed a quick replacement of the roof because more winter storms were forecasted. Jim at A Plus Handyman gave us a very good estimate and despite bad weather, he was able to replace the roof quickly and weatherize it before the interior of the garage was damaged. He was super nice to deal with, responsive, affordable with quality work. Would definitely do business with him again!!"

"Overall quality of work and flexibility of Bright Construction was excellent. Rui provided an estimate in a timely manner and was responsive to requests for clarifications and additional work that was added to the initial estimate. We had some problems with the weather and permits from the County that delayed the work a couple of times but Mike kept me up to date and always returned my calls and emails. The architect they originally hired I would never use again and recommend against as very difficult to work with and not accommodating any changes or alterations but Bright recovered well by using internal staff to modify the plans to meet the County requirements. The actual work itself was top notch. They excavated the basement down to 9+ft and then in sections underpinned the existing house foundation creating a new concrete foundation wall from the inside preserving my deck and the exterior perimeter of the house. Additionally, they created an exterior entrance and stairwell to the new basement area. The quality of the block work, the finish work on the concrete both the basement and garage was excellent. Bright installed an exterior drain system into a French drain and sump in the basement and an exterior drain around the perimeter of the garage. They also did a great job trying to preserve a neighbor's tree and the fence that was only 3 ft from the garage excavation and build. Along the way they made a number of helpful suggestions that didn't add cost but were items I hadn't considered and improved the overall function and aesthetics of the finished project. Finally, they did a nice job cleaning up and restoring the site when they were done. I would use them again in an instant."
