"I highly recommend L-H Masonry for any outside masonry work . In our case, the chimney was weakened by decades of neglect from previous owners due to water damage ! One quarter of the top chimney needed to be replaced and they restored other areas near the base of the chimney and the front stoop as well. Larry Hilliard (buisness owner) and chiefly his grandson did a excellent job in doing the dedicated work over three days with the required scaffolding needed for this job. They did not go over their free business estimate given up front before the job was started. We had 3 different masonry contractors give their price quotes for all of the intended work needed and they beat them all by a healthy margin. They were conscientious and gave me a daily assessment of the work that was completed up to that point. They arrived early and stayed on our job site until the job was completed instead of running off to do other projects like other contractors that I have had in the past!"

"This was a very involved plaster repair and remediation job, in a very old house. Grady is the only person (or company) who was willing to take on the job and drive all the way from Pennsylvania to our home in Northern Virginia. There are very few people who do this kind of work anymore (we really searched) and he is an expert in his field. I needed Joe and his son Tony on two occasions over the past two months.  Each time, I was met with friendly, on time service and very fair pricing.  Joe is very conscientious about doing a good job, and I like the chemistry he and his son have.  They work well together, fast and efficient.

Joe takes great pride in his work.  Of course, I'm in a rush to get things done, but after a particularly rainy weekend, Joe completed half my job one day and recommended that I wait two more days to let the bricks dry out as the humidity and moisture in the bricks were making the job look presentable but not right.  Joe wanted to do it right, which I respect.
