"A wind storm had blown the weathervane off the cupola on our garage, leaving a hole that leads to water leaking into our garage after a rainstorm. We needed someone to assess the source of the leak and tell us if the roof needed to be replaced. We were concerned. The water damaging the garage stucco ceiling and coming down on our car and also the water getting into ceiling electrical outlets in garage ceiling and causing a fire. I left a voicemail for Portanova Roofing at 8 pm on a Sunday. Monday AM I spoke with Alex, who sent Mike out within an hour. Mike did a fantastic job, assessing the source of trouble, telling us we did not need a new roof at this time, and patching the hole in the cupola. He reassured us that there was no further water in the garage ceiling, hence no risk. He told us what to look for so we would know when it is time to replace the roof. If we had needed a new roof, we would have foregone other estimates and hired Portanova on the spot. I was blown away by the responsiveness of this company and of the thorough examination of the issue Mike did. When we do need a new roof, we will be hiring Portanova! It was so great to have such a positive experience."

"Job started a day later than scheduled due to their equipment being down. Job was originally scheduled for 5-7 days. Job actually took 2 weeks and salesman called into the third week saying the job was done. We have never had mold remediation done before and was selling our house. The explanation of how the job would go was vague at best. This is not a process we are familiar with having never been through it before. In the estimate there was a blanket statement of “any construction materials removed will not be replaced” (once again we were never explained anything about this process in regards to things being removed). Upon the job being completed the buyer noticed there was no mention of insulation replacement. We were 2 days from closing and had to hire someone to replace the insulation. The handyman hired to replace the insulation noticed other items had been removed by octagon. We were not left a list of items removed from the residence. I was just told by Matt Brown that “that’s why I gave you a referral of a weatherization company” for 8300$ one would think you might get a verbal explanation of items needing replacement or at least an itemized list. Hope we don’t need to go through this again because as Octagon will not be contacted again."

"We needed to have Leak Seekers demo 2 chimneys to below the roof line and then repair the roof where the chimneys had been. Also to remove a cast iron vent pipe and patch that hole. Second job was to repair some badly damaged fascia (squirrel holes) and to rebuild 2 rotted trim returns. We had to delay the job until some squirrels could be removed from the attic, and Jerry was flexible about adjusting the start date. The work done was all excellent. Roof was patched so well I can't really see where the chimneys used to be. I was impressed by the quality of the carpentery work that was completed as well, on the fascia and trim returns."
