"They could have easily said we needed the concrete repaired/redone, but told us it would be fine by adding gravel to level it.  Very impressed that they could've went ahead and done the repair and charged for it but didn't.  It's very hard to find honest business anymore, but A1 qualifies.  Again, my husband and I are very impressed with the integrity of this company and the employees! <br />"

"We thought we needed foundation work. They not only told us that was incorrect. They directed us to a structural engineer who would be able to help us. No charge. Most appreciated."

"Excellent work and great suggestions to achieve what I needed. Replaced asphalt driveway with a concrete one and installed a trench drain and drainage tile through yard to solve a long-standing problem with rainwater running down driveway toward the house. Created patio in shape I wanted and fixed issues with older sidewalks. Highly recommend."

"Everything went great. Steve was exceptionally thorough in talking through the process and options up front and both crews (windows and siding) did great work and were a pleasure to work with!"

"Due to challenging winter weather, etc. it took several attempts to schedule the right time to do this work.  Donny and/or his staff kept in touch with me often and we finally had success in the installation.  It was a cold snowy day, but the job got done and even though I can't appreciate what I paid for (gutter covers) because they're not visible from the ground! I asked for a sample piece so I could actually see what I paid for. The last heavy rain rushed out of the downspouts so it appears that all is well.  Getting this done now allows for maintenance-free peace of mind that my gutters will remain free of debris. <br />"

"We first thought we had foundation issues when we noticed stair-step cracking along the front (both right and left sides) of our garage brick veneer. After a foundation company did some digging we came to realize the foundation was good, however the original builder had done us a disservice by not laying the brick on a proper cement block/base or using proper brick ties. Isabel came within 2 hours of contacting him to see if he could help our situation. Over time the brick had dropped and separated from the wall itself and was, in time, going to simply fall. He suggested to properly repair all the damage (it was fairly extensive on both sides of the front wall) he would have to demo the entire wall up to the gable and start over with a proper base for the brick. He would dig to see if there were proper footers/a base for the brick to start stacking, possibly pour a proper concrete support, rebuild the wall - matching the existing brick, and repair our concrete walkway that was partially pulled up by the foundation company upon their investigation. We met with Isabel and Revis on Tuesday, the following day a crew showed up first thing in the morning and the job was done by the end of the week. They addressed every concern we had along the way. The crew was even able to save all the existing trim and most materials to save on cost. Overall we are VERY pleased with the quality work that was done as well as how quickly they were able to start/finish the job! And, his bid was FAR less than 2 others we received as well :) <br />"

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in Fulton, IN

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
