They rarely took a break unless Mr. Turner (Darrell) insisted they do so. I made sure there were gallons of tea, ice, glasses, and snacks always available. His crew was not only efficient they were immaculately clean. Never leaving trash, a screw, a nail, anything, laying around. The crew allowed me to, not only explain my roof issues but show them as well so nobody was injured because of the faulty roof. They listened, they explained, and every day they took pictures of what they had accomplished. My 2014 sq. ft roof was completed in two days. Not only do I have a beautiful new roof but there is no signs of roofers ever being here. It simply does not get better than this. "Everyone at Solar Shield was very nice and professional. We had a few concerns when the moisture barrier was installed and we still had rain in our bedroom. Frank got it corrected the next day, and finished the roof the following week. The good news: very nice looking roof with no more leaks. The bad news: we got pictures of the hurricane straps installed and had the roof inspected by our insurance company. They found that the hurricane straps installed were not up to their standards and neither was the moisture barrier. They also found multiple slats (we didn’t have decking that covered the whole roof - old house) that were split and compromised during the work, so we were unable to qualify for any insurance discounts. Overall, we have a nice looking roof - top of the line from Solar Shield Industries. Hopefully, it will last a lifetime. But unfortunately, we have some decking remediation that needs to be done and we still need hurricane straps, which will probably be clips now. Not a big enough deal for me to raise a stink. I can retro clips and repair the few decking issues from the attic & under siding. And apparently, the moisture barrier is just not what the insurance company accepts as a “moisture barrier.”"
