"So I was having problems with carpenter bees drilling holes on my cedar siding home. My exterminator recommended restaining my home would help. So I reached out to Stanley and 2 other companies. Stanley was not the cheapest or the most expensive quote I received. But he was the only one who cared about my problem, Instead of just doing the job. Stanley told me about a chemical that can be mixed in the stain. With that said, He was hired. Well I'm here to tell you. He did not disappoint the wife and I with his work. I'm sure the combination, Of pest control, and staining with the chemicals. Help dramatically with the carpenter bees. The bonus of it all was the transformation of our home. The work that Stanley did was just amazing. He also address all of my wife details touches which left her and I speechless."

"Excellent work! This is the 3rd time I have used Jason/All About Painting for exterior painting. 2 for my home(2012,2020);`1 for a friend I was caring for(2007). The crew headed by Ronald were efficient & thorough. Street curb, driveway(150'), carport, sidewalk, pole shed, deck, soffits, shutters and windows pressure washed. Storm windows taken down, carport walls brush washed so water wouldn't get on recently repaired/painted carport ceiling. Gutters (150 ft), downspouts (6)& eaves hand washed with 409. Eaves, soffits, wood sash windows (27), carport walls, front porch wall, doors(6), wrought iron supports & small section of foundation brick all hand painted. Deck (42x12) with 3 stairs cases painted with solid stain, poles and landscape timbers underneath, shed poles & trim painted. Exterior of sash windows & both sides all storm windows hand washed. Recently had interior painted but used a friend of a neighbor...big mistake. Should have used Jason/All About painting."

"EGEJ Painting has our highest recommendation. We’ve used them for two projects now. First for the interior painting before we moved in to our home and second for the exterior porch paint, deck trim and house power wash. They are extremely easy to work with, professional and honest with their pricing. Steve and Michelle go out of their way to take care of you and make sure you’re happy with the results. We could not have asked for anyone better to work with. Stop your search and go with EGEJ. You won’t regret it!"

"Russ was super professional - offered a fair estimate and then came and did the job exactly as promised. He powerwashed my parents deck - cleaning off years of moss and mildew that made the surface unsafe to walk without risk of slipping and falling. He then stained and sealed it and left it like new. My parents and I are thrilled!"

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Gainesville, GA

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
