I am thrilled to report that does not have to be the case if you are in the market for a new deck or porch; Innovative Woodworks was outstanding to work with from beginning to end. We interviewed about 8 different companies, and are 100% confident we made the right choice. Innovative Woodworks was not the cheapest quote, but we do feel they provided the best value. The quotes came in anywhere from $25-$60K for roughly the same size project. The difference in costs were materials, features, and I suppose profit margins. In the end, our project total was about $36K and that included some high end finishes (Trex Transcend Flooring, 8x8 Cedar Posts, etc.). Dominic put together a proposal that got us everything we wanted without unnecessary expenses on features that wouldn't provide much value in our mind. While some companies clearly tried to up-sell certain high-cost materials or features, this was not their MO. He listened to our wants, needs, and plans for the space, and came up with several options to meet the end goal. Innovative Woodworks handled the majority of the project, subcontracting out the roof, paint, and electrical. The small hiccups that we did encounter with one of the subcontractors was handled by Dominic and made right very quickly. They also took care of all of the details associated with permitting, allowing us to sit back and rest assured in our decision. With small kids at home I was worried about a construction crew being around for several weeks, but the men showed the utmost respect to our entire family and did a great job of cleaning up after themselves throughout the project. The final product produced is of exceptional quality; everyone who has seen it comments not only on how great it looks but also on how well it is made. We look forward to many years of enjoyment out of the porch and know without a shadow of a doubt that on the off chance an issue arises, Dominic will respond in a timely manner to make things right."
