"Delphino and his brothers did an amazing job, sanding- staining and polyurethane my 2 bay window seats. Excellent customer service and very polite and respectful. They covered all the areas with tarps. They used a dustless sander and tented both areas. Very Reasonable pricing. I will be hiring them again for other work around my house. Highly recommend. "

"We hired Mike to paint our basement ceiling black, and he did an outstanding job! From the beginning, we had a clear and upfront agreement on both the scope of work and the costs. Mike completed the project smoothly and on time, with no issues or delays. He also made sure to clean up thoroughly after finishing the painting. We highly recommend Mike for his professionalism and quality work!"

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Geneva, IL

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
