"My husband took the morning off to be home while workers were here but they didn't show up until 1:15 soI had to leave work for the afternoon as my husband had to go into work. Called the office, they apologized and said the crew should be there. <br>When the crew arrived, communication was difficult as only one crew member, a subordinate spoke english. First thing they told me was that they get off at 3:00 and probably couldn't finish the job, BUT... they could come back on their own time to do the work for cash pay. NICE. <br>I phoned the office, they phoned the superintendent, he phoned the foreman and the foreman told the crew to get started. Ut was a big cleanup job that should have taken more time but they hurried through it and got most of it done.  <br>Then the foreman asked for payment and I told him I was paying by credit card to the office. He insisted that I write him a check (via translator) but I refused and called the office again, who called the super, who called the foreman, who said OK. <br>They also solicited me to have their friends do hardscaping I had intended to have ALL SEASONS do. Workers stealing from their employers? Not good.  <br>This was the worst experience I have ever had and I would not recommend them.  <br>I did phone the office and speak to a supervisor to complain. "

"Friendly and professional interaction with both Matt and James. Crew worked quickly and efficiently and I can't believe the difference that it made to our run down driveway that was pre-existing when we bought our home 18 months ago. Matt promised it would look like new and it does!!!! Amazing work and attention to detail. Helped majorly with curb appeal and over all approach to the house. Great job Great West Asphalt Pavers, we will definitely use them when it comes time to reseal."

"Warmzone has been very responsive. However, the installers made mistakes installing the system and when they went to correct it, somehow caused damage that made the system inoperable. They had to come back a year later and redo it. Now it works pretty good. Every time I've had questions Warmzone has been very responsive. i would use them again--but use their recommended installers and not my contractors who did it last time. <br /> One caveat: The system doesn't always work perfectly in very cold weather with fast accumulating snow. We have old-fashioned clay brick pavers. Next time I'll send Warmzone a sample of the pavers so that they can test for the power needed to operate the system effectively. <br /> But--they sell a great product and they're very helpful to deal with. They'll get right on the phone with you and troubleshoot, even long after the sale. <br />"

FAQs for asphalt paving installation projects in Carson City, NV

Most driveways wrap up in roughly a week. Allow two to three days for installation, followed by an additional two to three days for the surface to cure. Concrete and asphalt follow this timeline, whereas a gravel job often finishes more quickly. Laying out the schedule upfront makes it easier to plan your week and your budget.

Sealer prevents water, salt, and UV rays from damaging the surface. Apply a fresh coat every one to three years, and you’ll slow down the growth of cracks, avoid pricey repairs, and keep the driveway looking sharp. A local professional can handle the job efficiently and ensure even coverage.

Material is the significant driver when it comes to the lifespan of a driveway. Asphalt stays strong for about 20 years, concrete lasts 30 to 40 years, and paver stones can last 50 to 100 years because you can swap out damaged bricks. With regular top-ups, a gravel drive can also reach the century mark. Knowing these timelines helps you map out long-term maintenance and replacement costs.

Repaving strips everything down and starts fresh, letting you change the layout or improve drainage before pouring new material. Resurfacing, on the other hand, adds a top layer over a solid base, giving you a facelift without the need for a complete demolition. Go with repaving when the base is failing; choose resurfacing when the structure is sound and you just need a new surface.
