"Overall experience was positive. The diagnosis was good and only required a $15 part that was able to install myself. My frig is working great. While my total cost for the repair was $80 which included the $35 diagnostic fee, the lowest other price quote was over $400. I am very pleased with this new type of appliance repair. I will be recommending this my family and friends."

"We have ordered several replacement parts for various appliances (dishwasher, refrigerator, washer) and everything has always been satisfactory.  Website shows videos on how to install certain parts and also include a diagram of your appliance.  Fast shipping.  Very helpful! <br />"

"when tech showed up the dryer seemed to be working and heating however it did not when I called, seemed the heating element was cracked creating and off and on working condition. I went ahead to repair the problem by purchasing a new heating element. I was surprised however that the tech expected me to pay in full before he ordered the part and repaired the problem, but I did using my credit card knowing if there was a issue the credit card co. would have my back, The part was order and Alex fixed it as soon as it came in and was great"

"Very well.  Their goodwill has earned my determination to go to their website next time I need replacement appliance parts. In fact I already have another part for our dryer on order from them."

"Great service, prompt, and reasonably priced. They repaired our wall ovens last year and came out recently to repair our washer. After diagnosing and finding it was an expensive part for a 20 yr-old washer, we decided to replace rather than repair. Daryl provided helpful suggestions on brands to look for and those to stay away from. We needed an evening apt and there was no extra charge. Very knowledgeable on wide variety of appliances and brands. Glad we've found an honest repairman that's looking at his business and his customers on a long term basis. Nice to know we only need one phone number to call for all our appliance repairs. Thanks !"

"They're very expensive. Another service provider charged me $50 to come and look at it. But, that $50 went towards the repair. They charge $50 and it doesn't go towards the repair. He said, "We can fix your washer but the part might not hold up." I actually had a fire in the panel of the drier. He told me that was fried. It wasn't worth the money that I was going to put in because it was already past five years. They say after five years it's better to go and get a new appliance than put in an expensive part. They were supposed to call me back. Then, I waited. Two weeks later I called. I think it was the owner and he was real grouchy. When I said, "Well, he said he would call me in a week. Why didn't he call back?" He said, "We just got back from a holiday." He said, "I'll have him call you and make an appointment to come fix it." I wasn't happy with them. I thought they were very expensive and their customer service sucked. It wasn't cheap. When they came, they promised a timeframe and they came out. He told me upfront that it was $50. I said, "Well, does it go towards the repair?" He said, "No." So it was my fault. I didn't go to Angie's List and check out other people."

FAQs for fridge, freezer or ice maker repair or service projects in Gerrardstown, WV

Most ice makers are similar in design, and some parts are interchangeable. However, if your ice maker has advanced filters or special features, it's best to use the same make and model to ensure everything works properly. Ask your appliance repair pro to check your appliance specifications to be sure.

With regular use and proper maintenance, an ice maker typically lasts about four to five years. If you keep up with tasks like changing the filters every six months, you might get up to 10 years out of your ice maker. Address any problems with your ice maker right away by calling an appliance professional to ensure you solve any issues before they escalate, helping to keep your ice maker running smoothly for longer.

Your refrigerator's age plays a big role in deciding whether to repair or replace the ice maker. If your fridge is nearing the end of its average 14-year lifespan, it might not be worth investing in expensive repairs since other parts could fail soon. Getting a diagnosis from a refrigerator repair pro can help you decide what's best.
