After diagnosing and finding it was an expensive part for a 20 yr-old washer, we decided to replace rather than repair. "They're very expensive. Another service provider charged me $50 to come and look at it. But, that $50 went towards the repair. They charge $50 and it doesn't go towards the repair. He said, "We can fix your washer but the part might not hold up." I actually had a fire in the panel of the drier. He told me that was fried. It wasn't worth the money that I was going to put in because it was already past five years. They say after five years it's better to go and get a new appliance than put in an expensive part. They were supposed to call me back. Then, I waited. Two weeks later I called. I think it was the owner and he was real grouchy. When I said, "Well, he said he would call me in a week. Why didn't he call back?" He said, "We just got back from a holiday." He said, "I'll have him call you and make an appointment to come fix it." I wasn't happy with them. I thought they were very expensive and their customer service sucked. It wasn't cheap. When they came, they promised a timeframe and they came out. He told me upfront that it was $50. I said, "Well, does it go towards the repair?" He said, "No." So it was my fault. I didn't go to Angie's List and check out other people."
