Customers say: Quick response

"We hired Jalisco Plastering and was not satisfied with the work. They missed a lot of spots that had to be redone. As far as workmanship they we're the lowest bid but they're work was shoty. I wouldn't hire them again because they sped through their work and wasn't completed properly. They we're supposed to: 1. Remove the old stucco. 2. Power wash the wall. 3.Put on mesh to the wall. 4.Restucco. This job, yes was done, but missing spots and power washing was less to be expected. "

"I live in northern AZ. Challenging, dry, hardly any moisture these past years. UV wreaks havoc on exterior home paint. Plus the place was unmaintained stucco. I need to have them bid the job to repair stucco and paint, with new colors . Home Town Painting showed up on time for their bid appointment. A rare plus already. Then we walked around the house. TJ, the Home Town painter, listened, and asked proper questions. We walked around again. You know that feeling in your gut when you meet a person or search for a house or a car...I had that positive feeling after meeting Home Town's TJ. Their price was sent, very fair, and we verbally arranged a start date in April 2026. TJ brought a written contract a few weeks later, with time to spare before beginning. The work: Team was on time, very thorough prep, worked clean, very professional attitude and work ethic. I am very happy with HOME TOWN PAINTING. I'd hire them again and recommend with 5 stars! "

"George, John and their team did a fantastic job and quickly resolved any small issues that I had. Great quality and did everything they said they would. They were a complete pleasure to work with and I'll use them again if I ever have any additional stucco work."

"Angel did a good job repairing my chimney after storm damage. We communicated well and he understood my concerns. He prepared a written quote and stated what he would repair so it was clear. His work was efficient and he took lots of pictures to show me the progress. He cleaned up after each day and called to keep me informed on when he would return or when he was on his way."

FAQs for traditional stucco repair or partially replace projects in Gilbert, AZ

Minor stucco fixes—like sealing small cracks or adding fresh caulk—often wrap up in an hour or two. Larger jobs that call for cutting out damaged sections, installing new lath, and layering fresh stucco can stretch to three or four days because each coat needs time to cure. A pro removes loose material, cleans and dampens the area, applies a bonding agent, and builds up new layers, matching texture and restoring the wall’s weather shield.

Watch for a stucco surface that stays damp days after a storm, develops dark stains, or feels soft or spongy under light pressure. Inside, moisture rings, peeling paint, or soft drywall around windows point to the same issue. Any of these red flags mean water is trapped behind the siding, and it’s time to call a stucco pro before rot or mold sets in.

Give your stucco a once-over every spring and fall. Semiannual checks let you catch hairline cracks, stains, or damp spots before they snowball into pricey repairs. Keep a flashlight handy, look closely around windows and doors, and call a pro if you notice anything soft or discolored. Staying ahead of minor issues protects both your curb appeal and your home’s weather barrier.

A pro starts by scraping away loose material, then cleans and lightly wets the area so new stucco will stick. After brushing on a bonding agent, they build fresh layers, letting each coat cure before adding the next. The final step is matching the texture and color so the patch blends in and the wall regains full weather protection.

Think of repair as a patch: the pro fixes only the visible crack or hole. Remediation goes deeper—crews strip away the compromised stucco, correct the root problem (often water or mold), then rebuild the wall. If tests show structural rot or trapped moisture, remediation is the safer, longer-lasting route; otherwise, a straightforward repair often does the trick.
