"We hired Shawn and his partner to renovate our barn, which started life as a simple run-in shelter that we inherited when we bought the property. Within minutes of touring the building he had many smart ideas and I could see that he was both a visionary and a skilled craftsman. His quote was very fair and the resulting barn renovation far exceeded our expectations. I was impressed that he considered the practicality of improvements while also evaluating the resulting aesthetic. He had a diversity of problems to address, from building three massive exterior stall doors on sliding hardware to battening the entire structure to repairing a wall of wood rot to shoring up stalls and fitting interior doors. He also built a staircase with railing up to the hayloft and proposed other safety features to enhance the usability of the space. At my request he even incorporated an antique French iron gate I owned into the facade of the structure, and gave its placement careful consideration. The finished product is a very functional and beautifully distinct barn. Our pair of miniature donkeys are the happy recipients of his hard work and we thank Shawn every time we enter the barn!"

"Feb. snow and rainstorms caused a large ice dam to form on our North side roof, and we had water damage in both the master bathroom and the family room.
Both ceilings had water stains--and both were cathedral ceilngs--high and difficult to reach.  We also had some cracked plaster in the corner of the family room from settling,  as well as one corner in the kitchen. The very top of the ceiling in the master bath had some loosening of the drywall tape and "mud", and since we were at it, I asked them to include this, as well as a cleaning and replacement of light bulbs in the kitchen fan--again, too high for us to get to.  Inspection of the bathroom water stain proved to be not from the ice dam, but a problem with the installation of the bathroom fan and light by the original owners--use of too small a unit and no insulation, causing lots of condensation which leaked down and stained the ceiling.  Both rooms would need repainting of the ceilings and the family room needed a total repaint.  Touch-up of the bathroom wall where some nails had popped and needed recovering would be enough. They matched our 9 year old paint perfectly.
The men arrived punctually each of the three days it required.  They moved and/or covered furnishings and carpeting both in the rooms and in the hallways to protect  them and were very careful to keep dust and dirt to a minimum, and cleaned everything up each night so we could resume normal  living.  They did a great job with everything, and installed a new fan unit of the correct size in the bathroom--cleaned up my kitchen ceiling, and made the fan/light unit look like new. The men were courteous and good at their jobs and did everything we had asked.
Our house looks great again, and we are very satisfied with the company, their estimator Phil; Joe, their supervisor, and his crew.
