"Mr. Ventura gave us a fair price, then explained exactly what needed to be done. He painted our house and a small storage house in the backyard which he also repaired. All the needed wood replacement on our house, pressure washing and cleaning completed as he promised. Professional and great care taken with his work. He is not only informative, but asked questions to make sure we were on the same page! He is courteous, concerned and professional, three qualities that I deeply appreciate, especially these days."

"He and his helper Arturo, did an excellent job of tackling this project.  I would use them again.  They remained committed to the job, until the end, and worked through the monsterous clean up effort.  I would be pleased to have their prospective customers inspect our work.
Thanks you guys!  Well done.

"I cannot reccomend this company enough. I had a HUGE project for them and they made it happen in the time frame they estimated. We needed our entire home painted, ceilings, walls, all molding and baseboards. Truly went above and beyond! They even stayed and continued working without power in our house. Reasonably priced with quality work. Such a pleasure to work with them, fantastic attitudes and so easy to communicate with. They will be my painters from here on out. I am so grateful to have found them."

"He started working right after the contract was signed.  I was not expecting the work to start so soon but he started on the prep work. First he started in the hallway stripping the wallpaper and prepping the area to be painted. Next he applied blue tape to the areas to be painted in the dining room . He then helped to move small items from the Dining Room.  He covered the remaining furniture with plastic.  The next day  he scraped the popcorn from the ceiling mudded and applied the first coats of paint.  He would switch between working on the ceiling, to painting the hall, and painting the back stairway. By the end of the day the work on small hall and back stairway was complete.  The next day he finished painting the Dining Room ceiling.  He then started and finished painting the wood work and walls in the Dining Room.  He started and finished the door last.

"It went wonderful. They were superior. They were on-time, they even stayed over the eight hours to finish up the little bit of painting that needed being done. They were very polite and professional. These people were above and beyond."

"They were puntual and ready to do the job in the time set, even earlier to start. They kept the other areas cover and protected from the painting job. They always wanted to make sure the customer was satisfied with the job, if not they will come by and work on fixing it promptly. Very friendly and respectful crew. Great final job."

"Anybody can go to a hardware store and pick up some paint and tools and start slinging paint around but JP listened to what I specifically wanted out of this paint job for two areas of my house that will see a lot of wear and tear. He used his experience to help me make informed decisions about the quality and type of paint to use in my kitchen and bathroom when I was torn between several options and brands. JP isn't affiliated with any particular paint brand and lets homeowners supply/buy materials, so there was no pressure; just information and experience. He gave great advice about my color selections from a paint application and durability perspective. JP was also able to effectively troubleshoot some problems that came up during the project that were the result of the previous homeowner's DIY attempts. He's great at cutting paint in. Everything looks clean and sharp, even in my old house with uneven textured walls and trim and no time wasted taping everything off. Lastly, he is an all-around professional and friendly dude, which, honestly, matters as much (if not more than) professional expertise when you're having someone in your home."

"I texted a request early in the morning and had a response within a few hours and he came to the house that evening. He gave me the option to fix the few tiles (which he felt would be a temporary fix) or to pull everything up and put down concrete board and retile. I chose to have him retile. The work was started 4 days later and completed the next day (Christmas Eve). They took care to pull up the tiles so that they could be reused. It has been almost 2 weeks and no problems. I have had to fix and paint some trim but Paul said at the time that he and his crew do not paint and that I should expect to have to do some painting where they had to tear out the baseboards. Overall, I am happy."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Gilmore, AR

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
