"The quality of the solid and Engineered wood is very high. Compared to previous product I experienced from other suppliers their finish is harder and less chances of being scratched. Each box of the Solid wood always has two 7' long planks. This give you enough long planks to be used in special situation like establishing the reference start line while installing. Mill work is good, so installation went smoothly. The problem I don't like is that they charged me two different shipments because the solid and the Engineered wood comes from different parts in the US."

"<p>My wife and I wanted to replace 4 hard to clean kitchen counter tops with smooth soap stone.  Saw the Origins shop from the road and on a whim decided to stop in and check their selection and prices.  The office manager, Cheryl, answered all our questions and brought up issues we hadn't yet thought of (like what type of new sink did we want (undermount, drop in, dual mount, farmhouse, etc.) and the pros/cons of each).  She knows the business and gladly answered our questions throughout the process.</p> <p>We stopped in the showroom in late November and had the counters installed about two to three weeks later.  We were also given the opportunity to select a particular slab of soap stone from their supplier in Maryland but opted not to.  We had the option to purchase a new sink/faucet from Origins but decided to buy them at Lowe's.  No particular reason for this.  I'm sure the Origins-provided sinks/faucets would have been fine.  Origins' counter top / installation prices were very competitive and was thousands less than the one other local provider we called.  </p> <p>The measurement technician who came to our home, Grace, and project manager, Chris, were very professional.  Installation for the 4 tops took about 3 - 4 hours and the installers arrived on the early side of the delivery window.  Besides the tops they installed our undermount sink and created holes for the new faucet and soap dispenser.  Again, very professional service.</p> <p>In my experience you can tell if a company is good to work with (or not) by their willingness to thoroughly and promptly answer a customer's questions.  Origins passed with flying colors and I would not hesitate to recommend them and use their services again.  Thank you!</p>"

"I have used several Granite Gold products and like their effectiveness because they do what they are supposed to do. No strong fumes or irritating skin problems. The granite counter top daily cleaner and polish are so easy to use (spay it on and wipe with a paper towel) to keep all your stone products clean and shiny. I was surprised to see how effective the grout cleaner is. I sprayed it on some dirty tire floors in the bathroom and let it sit for a couple of minutes. Then I went over it with the scrub brush they provide. It looked clean then, but when it dried, it was much brighter. This is a 40 Year old bathroom tile floor pictured. Granite Gold also provides excellent professional support."

"It took a lot of phone tag to finally get the technician to our house, but once here he was efficient and professional and did an amazing job. The chip was in the edge of a white quartz countertop, very difficult to match perfectly, and the repair is absolutely invisible. Not the lowest bid, but worth the price."

"Bailes has a great selection of granite to choose from and the sales staff make it easy to select the right piece and get an appointment for an exact measurement. The measurement process went well. They arrived on-time to install the new counter. The pre-measured sink cut-out was incorrect, too small, and the crew cut a new hole and force-fit the sink to that hole. The sink was warped then and they filled gaps with caulk. After they left, I found the hole was still too small and complained. They arrived the next day to increase the hole size. This time the sink fit but the resulting mess left by the 2X grinding process took 1.5 days to clean up. The crew did not offer to help. In summary, parts of the Bailes experience were good and parts were not. Bailes supply of stone is the best around but they do not get high marks for service."
