"I couldn’t be happier with Juan's work! He fixed my mailbox quickly and securely—it looks brand new and feels sturdier than ever. He also installed several curtain rods and mounted various wall items throughout my home with precision and care. Everything is perfectly level, securely anchored, and exactly where I wanted it. What really stood out was his professionalism and attention to detail. He came prepared with all the right tools, worked efficiently, and made sure to clean up afterward. He also took the time to double-check measurements and ask for my input before drilling, which I really appreciated. Reliable, skilled, and courteous—I’ll absolutely be calling him again for future projects. Highly recommend!"

"Dana was so helpful when it came to my shutters. I had purchased plastic shutters to replace the original wood ones that were breaking. He advised me to repair the wood ones instead to not lose integrity of the shutters and overall appearance of the house. He was able to do some quick repairs on-site and is working with me for a larger shutter restoration project in the future. He is very knowledgeable, reliable, and passionate about this stuff! Highly recommend!"
Handymen Project
Bottom portion of plaster wall was once repaired with sheet of drywall. With no meaningful connection between drywall, drywall mud, and true plaster, the weight of the old plaster above, with nothing to hold onto, or to hold it, collapsed.

FAQs for handyman service projects in Glen Allen, VA

Winterizing shields your home’s structure and key systems from snow, ice, and freezing temperatures. By sealing drafts and tuning up heaters, you cut energy waste, extend the life of appliances and windows, and avoid surprise repair bills. A small up-front investment keeps rooms cozy and protects the value of your biggest asset all winter long.

Yes, it’s important to prepare your sprinkler system for the winter. Blowing out the lines and insulating above-ground parts keeps valves and pipes from splitting when temperatures drop. A quick winterization visit costs far less than repairing burst components in spring, and it ensures your lawn--and your wallet--stay in good shape once the thaw hits.

A full home winterization plan goes beyond sealing windows and pipes. You might schedule a home energy audit, cover outdoor furniture, service the snowblower, swap smoke-detector batteries, add outlet gaskets, and hang storm doors. Each step beefs up your home’s protection, cuts drafts, and lowers the chance of costly cold-weather damage.
