"We had been referred to Kirk Development by a friend who had given them rave reviews on a major remodel at their home. We were certainly not disappointed! From the inception of the project with Gary as our designer, we were kept informed of the progress and what the schedule would be. We had a bit of a hiccup at the beginning of the project as our superintendent left the company and we were assigned a new superintendent. We were a bit concerned how this would affect the project, but that was an unwarranted concern. Michael stepped in seamlessly and led the remainder of the project beautifully. One thing I appreciated about the way Michael managed our job was a real time calendar he left at our home so I knew when different projects would be worked on and subcontractors would be arriving at the house. It can be tough to "live" through a remodel at your home when you are actually living there, but this made it quite manageable and helped eliminate surprise arrivals. I really appreciated that as a stay at home mom! Also, all the subcontractors we worked with were terrific - very qualified and professional. Our remodel was a bit complicated because of the odd angles in our kitchen, but Gary, Michael, and the rest of the team really helped give us great advice and direction so as to ensure the kitchen functioned for us as well as looked nice aesthetically. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Kirk to anyone who wants a quality product!"

"Communication was good, work was a less than I expected. This was a tough job because the paint was dark, requiring an extra gallon for 2 or 3 coats in some areas. I hired someone for the job because I had done the painting before and it was hard work and I am not young enough to do it anymore (ladder work is dangerous). I just felt the work wasn't as "careful" as it could have been; I did a lot of "clean up" afterwards for misplaced brush strokes and droplets of paint. The job was tough and took more hours than expected. Had paid for 8 hours for one painter, or two painters for 4 hours. Went well past the 8 hours, so had to pay for the extra time. Tony and Enrique were great about taking down and replacing the blinds; they also reinstalled the valances, which was very helpful. I guess my biggest disappointment was some sloppy brushstrokes. I know from experience that can happen, but it would have been better if they had been corrected by the painter. I'm not sure if I would hire again....getting more quotes would answer that question....am I wrong to think $500.00 is a lot for painting one room? Maybe so when you consider all the "cutting in"."
