There were a couple of times where the materials I picked out were oddly sized or not typically used for what they were doing and they let me know so that I could choose better suited materials instead of just installing what I originally had selected which I really appreciate."

Their team visited daily to check progress if drying. Albert was also visiting regularly to inspect work done by his team. Worked with the insurance inspector to resolve issues. Highly recommended. "This is a great company.  I contacted Ryan Restoration on line and they very responsive and answered all of the questions and we set up appointment for the following week. The appointment was scheduled for 9:00 am.  Bob called just before 9:00 to say he was running late about 15 minutes which good to know.  When Bob was arrived we walked through the house showing him areas to clean and areas to repair.  We had just removed the carpet from our stairs and installed hardware stairs and we needed the carpet tacked down at top of the stairs.  Bob did that and it looks great.  Then I asked Bob to patch a small area where we had removed an end post from the stairs.  Again, Bob repaired this area and it looks fantastic.  Bob also cleaned several rooms of carpet and they have never looked better.  I did call Bob later that day because the carpet he cleaned earlier that day was "rippling" which I had never seen before.  Bob explained this does happen sometimes and when the carpet had completely dried it would lay back down.  This morning it looks perfect. "DJ responded quickly to our request for an estimate and also accommodated our preferred work dates even though we called only a week in advance. He was punctual for every encounter, pleasant to speak with and accommodating of our wishes in every regard. Very little dust escaped the work area and the cleanup was thorough. The floor looks excellent where previously it had been embarrassing! This was a nice, professional job.

A couple of comments for those who, like us, weren't quite sure what to expect:

1. You really will have to sleep elsewhere (pets, too!) once the sealer coats begin to be applied. Not only is the odor unpleasant, but I'm quite sure it would be dangerous to breathe for any kind of extended period. I don't usually react to cleaning substances or paint, but could feel a "chemical headache" developing despite fairly brief exposure, and my eyes felt sore when I returned to the house the day after the last coat. Fortunately, the effects dissipated fairly quickly once we were able to air it out.

2. Don't schedule the job just before a holiday gathering or other event for which you really want everything back in its place. Although you can walk on the floor the day after it's completed, you'll want to wait a week or so before replacing rugs, chests or anything else that closely covers the surface. Otherwise the full-drying period will be impacted and you may end up with some areas of slightly different tone.

All in all, a good experience."

Most importantly they could not do any work until the did an asbestos test.Because it came back positive SO they could not do the demolition. They refer Thermotech to do the removal of the asbestos. And we now have a completely gutted to the sub floor."

"Joe and Luis arrived a half hour before the appointed time, went over the project efficiently, and explained the expectations and potential limitations. They adjusted wrinkles out of one carpet, caused by my unsuccessful attempts to reposition it for cleaning, and went about their business quickly and neatly.  Joe kept me apprised of the status of each room as they proceeded.  They finished in 2 hours, and left the house neat and dry except of course for the damp carpet.  Joe re-explained the billing charges which were exactly as we agreed at the outset.

"The Protech crew were very efficient and highly professional. The job entailed removing some 570 sf give or take of popcorn ceiling. Even though we're in N Seattle they arrived on time, thoroughly prepped the two rooms involved the first day and removed the popcorn on the second. Can't recommend Protech highly enough."

"Job did not go well. The two guys were very courteous, but not experience with house siding. The chimney was clad in same siding as house horizontal 6 inch cedar. They didnt put the new siding on level or even uniform spacing. Left gaps in the structure that would have caused water damage. The owner refunded part of our money.
