"After a high-pressure sales pitch presented as an estimate, a "3 days tops" job turned into a month. The materials are good quality and the overall end result is fine now, but it was a circus during the install! First, someone drove a screw through the wall straight into an electrical outlet on the other side! Thank goodness the house didn't burn down when it shorted out inside the wall. After going back and forth with a supervisor "Aaron" who was never even there during the work, saying that it was an existing problem in the electrical system, it finally got fixed. When there's a brand new 3-inch screw going through the box, that is definitely not an existing wiring problem! Apparently they ran out of the screws they were supposed to be using and tried to improvise... Then, 2 floor tiles were cracked during the job and they had to be replaced. Luckily, the same tiles were in stock at the local big box so it was able to be repaired without changing the entire floor, but tack on another day of work. Then, the shower doors were installed upside down and backwards, so another trip had to be made for that to be remedied AFTER they had to order a completely new set of doors! So for 2 weeks we were shimmying into the shower behind a shelf at the back wall of the bathroom. All in all, for the price you pay for this type of shower, I'd expect the workmanship and attention to detail to be much better. The crew was very nice during the process and did eventually own up to and fix the flubs, but if I had to do it all over again, I'd buy a top of the line kit from a big box and have an independent contractor install it for half the cost. I was also encouraged to leave positive reviews in exchange for a gift card, which would explain a lot of the 5 star reviews around the net..."

"Edwardo and his team were very professional and proficient and their work was very good. And the initial work was completed in 2 days with the exception of the glass being installed on a pony wall. Another exception was the reseal of our master shower (not a part of the tub to shower conversion) that had to be redone due using caulk that was not compatible with marble. Martinez (glass installer) did a nice job installing the glass on the pony wall and also he completed the re-caulk of the master shower. Would highly recommend 5 Star Bath."

"Their guys are  true professionals. They always showed up on time, were tidy, professional and courteous. All work was done to my satisfaction.
On this last occasion we had an toilet that was wobbly. We picked out our toilet, plus a sink with vanity, a wall mirror, new light fixtures, and G.H's guys picked them up and brought them to our condo. They unpacked everything outside and after removing our old stuff, they brought in everything piece by piece.
They tidies up the area around the toilet, set new bolts, and applied a new seal. They then set the toilet, applied a nice bead of calk. This was something my husband noticed. They then attached the water and it was done in about 10 minutes. The cabinet with the new fixtures was installed. It took a little longer but it went in smoothly. It was obvious the workers knew what they were doing. You know when someone has done something before by how they move and install.
The wall mounted light fixtures went in smoothly. The suggested we add a piece of trim to cover the holes left by the old fixture. Not only did it look great but it saved us money by not having to repair the hole. Just a small accent piece that cost $3, saved us about $50. It adds up.
They also replaced our front door knob and installed a new dead bolt. Again it was done smoothly and cleanly. Since I am on cleanliness, G.H. is one of the cleanest companies I have ever used. They clean as they go and remove everything and clean up. All I had to do was supply a vacuum and a broom.
This is not the first time we used G.H. Complete Construction and it won't be the last.  Give them a call, you won't be disappointed.

"I paid less than half of a bid I got from a company with lots of people and lots of overhead. And I am confident that my project was of comparable quality. Removed tub and put in a high-quality walk-in shower- ½” cultured marble wall panels, custom-made shelf, solid cultured marble drain pan with texture to prevent slipping, grab bars, high-quality double-sliding glass doors. I wish the project had taken three days instead of four but that is my only complaint. Jay and his assistant did a good job. He had some good money-saving suggestions and was easy to work with. He matched the swirls on the wall panels (including the indented shelf!) and made the shower walls flow together. Great job!"

"I called Lakewood Restoration for a bid to handle water damage caused by a leaking HVAC unit.  Within 3 hours, Brian and Cliff were at my house inspecting the damage and recommending solutions.  They also hooked me up with the GREATEST A/C guy on the planet at no cost and worked with him on the replacement and rerouting of return vents to improve air flow on the ground floor.  Five days later, I had to leave town for a family medical emergency and left the guys in charge of the project.  After a few weeks, I came home to find the project progressing beautifully and ahead of schedule.  Their work is careful, cost-efficient and done with purpose-- they will work with you through every possible complication and will make sure the job is done right.  The repairs and improvements  turned out beautifully and have added real value to my home.
I completed 2 previous remodeling projects before working with Brian and Cliff and the experience with Lakewood has been light-years ahead of the others. I cannot recommend these guys highly enough -- they do beautiful, reasonably priced work without drama or any waste of time and as an added bonus, they are some of the nicest people you will ever meet.   Hire them-- you will not regret it.
