"It was a pleasure working with Paul. We had an awkward space in our 1.5 story home and a lack of storage elsewhere. Paul solved both dilemmas. From design to install, his communication and execution were top-notch. As someone who has been disappointed by contractors in the past, I can assure you that you will feel valued and appreciated in addition to being happy with the end result. To top it off, Paul is kind and funny and feels like a friend. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience."

Small jobs welcome

"It is always a pleasure to have Matt Coning work in our home. He installed almost all of our LVP flooring throughout the house. Great workmanship. Today, Matt installed recessed lighting in our living room. The job turned out to be way more difficult than anticipated, but Matt finished in a timely manner. He works to upbeat, positive music, doesn’t cuss when he hits a snag, and cleans up after himself. There are other great craftsmen at Mr Handyman Lees Summit, but today we had Matt. He is a pleasure to have in our home. "

"Seth did a fantastic job on my front door replacement! I had an issue with the previous door dragging on my tile flooring in the front hall (along with the fact that it was very old and falling apart). He helped me pick out a new door and raised it just enough to work with my entryway. Additionally, he reinstalled my existing storm door with better fitment! I highly recommend Seth and EXCEL Handyman!"

FAQs for interior trim and decorative moldings repair projects in Grandview, MO

While the terms 'trim' and 'molding' are often used interchangeably, they serve different purposes in home design. Trim refers to materials installed at the junctions of walls, ceilings, and floors, providing a seamless and functional transition. Molding, on the other hand, is a decorative type of trim crafted specifically to enhance your interior's visual appeal. For personalized recommendations that match your home's style, consult a professional contractor.

Repairing or replacing trim throughout your entire home takes six hours. If you're focusing on just a single room or a small section, you can expect the project to take one to two hours to complete. The process includes removing the old trim, carefully measuring and cutting new pieces, and precisely installing them to achieve a polished and lasting result.

Selecting the right trim is key to enhancing your home's overall design. Common options include shoe molding, quarter-round, baseboards, crown molding, chair rails, and picture rails. The best choice depends on where you're installing it, your personal style preferences, and your budget. Consulting a knowledgeable contractor can help you find the perfect trim to elevate your interior's appearance.
