"I was recently seeking a contractor on Angi for an urgent interior paint project at my home with quick turnaround time. This bedroom paint project included wall paint (2 colors; 1 accent wall), wall baseboard trim repair + paint, door trim repair + paint, door paint, and a plumbing panel replacement + paint. When I posted the request on Angi, Eugene from Honeycomb Construction called me within a minute after posting (Wow!). I explained my situation (baby on the way/arriving in weeks, nesting) and project details, and Eugene stopped by the same day to get a good look at room needing paint + repairs. Eugene was able to meet my familyâ s needs to get this room ready within one week. Although the estimated job timeline slid out by one day due to factors out of Eugeneâ s control (cold room on the basement floor, so paint takes longer to dry between coats), he did an excellent job with all the promised work: the paints of coat were even and full, the lines between the two colors of paint were crisp and clean, and the baseboard trim was looking sharp! Eugene does great work, heâ s really responsive and communicative throughout the process, heâ s really professional, and he is very kind. "I purchased a Big Deal for $275 for 6 hours of handyman service. I asked him to install a glass shower door in my master bath. He ended up chipping the tub while installing this and then claimed he didn't do it. He cut the support to the shower door an inch too short. When I pointed it out to him, he said he knew he did it and he was going to have order a replacement. He never did, he said it wasn't available. I went to Home Depot and ordered it myself and had a friend install it."

"Palm Construction used subcontractors at every stage (not unusual), but there was little to no oversight. Communication was a problem. I am doubtful that the product (Trex decking) was installed according to **manufacturers guidelines** and worry what that may mean to the longevity of the final product. Some parts of the install were handled brilliantly and with finesse. Other parts were done hurriedly, resulting in damage to the substructure. Palm has made efforts to repair or redo, as necessary, which I appreciate, but some of their promises fell by the wayside."

He is a perfectionist who will make changes until the work is perfect and met our standards. From demolition of our old deck to designing our large 729sf trex deck with custom cable railing, Jose made the process easy and accessible. During the whole process, he was easy to get a hold of with any questions. He kept us updated with all phases of the build. After completion, there were a couple minor changes that needed fixing. "Excellent service! We were at the tail end of a remodel and several things had to be connected and installed. Alex was so nice to deal with even though there were several hiccups along the way (nothing that was his fault, parts not fitting, etc). He came up with some inventive solutions to the issues and stayed late until it was done. He also had some great ideas for what could be done to improve the lighting in the bathroom. I would definitely hire them again in the future. Everyone I dealt with from the owner to Alex my handyman was honest, punctual and polite.
