"I want to thank Avi and his team for helping me stay within budget and fixing a terrible roof leakage. Not only that, but his team also found another area of my roof that was severely damp and needed repair with a new covering. Avi contacted me before repairing any additional findings and informed me of the issue, why it was important to repair, and the cost to fix it. I, of course, moved forward with the repair and pictures were taken to show the changes. The only reason I give them a 4 star rating is due to the confusion of being able to also clean the roof. At the beginning, I had asked for the repair of roof, a vent repair, and a cleaning of the roof (removing moss and using a powder to keep it from growing back). All of it was done including the additional repair, but the roof cleaning was not done to the expectation that was described to me. Multiple parts of the roof were missed and sadly, not all moss was removed. Because my roof is very steep, Avi made the decision to refund me a majority of the cost back for the cleaning, which I appreciated greatly. Though now I have to look for another roof cleaner. :( The rest of their work was beautiful and I truly felt like Avi cares for the work he and his team do. I mean, he even came back a few days later to show me all the changes when I requested it. If it came down to it, I would likely ask for their help again for any roof repair or complete replacement. :)"

"Agron and his team were very professional, and managed to work us into their busy schedule within a week of providing us with an estimate. They repaired some rotted beams that several other roofing companies would not touch, and saved us money in the long run by replacing our roof at the same time. "My house was damaged by a water leak in the master bathroom. The bathroom floor was soaked from under the shower and the leak got to the downstairs family room. After getting my phone call, Andrea responded very quickly and patiently answered all my questions and concerns. The shower, the floor, and the ceiling must be opened, dried, and the mold treated for mitigation. Andrea and his team did a great job in that. For the restoration, Andrea and his team had to replace two sinks with new countertops, redo one toilet, redo the shower with new dry wall, cement board, tiles, and the bathroom floor. For the family room, they had to repaint the ceiling and the result is great. I have no complaints. Everyone in his team is professional and I will not hesitate to hire them for another project."

"There are lots of roofers on Angie's list, and I wanted to narrow it down, so I asked a roofing supply company for recommendations.  They gave me three business cards and said they trusted each of them to do a good job.  Two were already on Angie's list, so I called them both (Ameriserv was one of these).  I also called one more of the more highly recommended ones on Angie's list.  Ameriserv was the first to come out.  I was impressed with Chris's professional and straightforward manner in answering all my questions and explaining options, and his interest in getting me the roof I wanted without trying to sell me anything else. 
I went ahead and got the other two bids before deciding.  I gave each of them the same list of things I wanted done.  I thought both of them would have done a decent job, but the "more highly recommended" one turned out to be quite a bit more expensive, and they couldn't start for a month.  The other one priced the job pretty close to Ameriserv, but was also a few weeks out.  I was already leaning toward Ameriserv because Chris seemed like someone who would be easy to work with, and as anyone knows who has worked with contractors before of any kind, this is a very important part of the decision.  I was not disappointed: both Chris and Josh were champs in that department.  Chris even took the time to drive me around the neighborhood so I could see the shingles I was interested in on other houses.
I told Chis I was concerned about getting it done before the bad weather set in (it was almost November), and he said he'd talk to Josh and get back to me.   He shortly called back and said they would shift a few things around in their schedule and get started that week as soon as they could get the supplies delivered.  We had a few days of good weather, and they put extra guys on the job to get it done even sooner than expected.  They both came by often to make sure everything was going smoothly, and that I was happy with the way it was turning out.  I liked that they even painted the pipe flashings to match the roof color. 
It's been a few months since they finished, and I still smile every time I drive in the driveway as I look up at the roof and see how great it looks, and how much better the whole house looks because of it.
Bottom line:  If you need a new roof, you owe it to yourself to call these guys for a bid.
