"We met SAL through a friend that he did some insurance work for.  We have a large kitchen with a huge island and always wanted to redo the floors.  As I was looking for tile for the floor I found glass accent tiles that I wanted to use on the back splash to tie everything together.  Needless to say our project just got larger. We struggled to find qualified contractors to do this work and because we spend so much time in our kitchen we wanted everything to be perfect.  From the first second we met with SAL we were totally comfortable and confident they could do the work to our expectations.  Sure enough the job was completed 4 days ahead of schedule and turned out PERFECT!!! I catch myself sometimes just staring at my new tile. I absolutely love it. I would recommend SAL to everyone. We also had them replace some windows & put up siding on the back of our house (cement siding).  SAL is honest & does everything he says he will do. Great job guys and thanks so much!!!

"THE GOOD   The interview went very well. I had a list of questions as to how the work would be performed and Mike answered the questions with confidence in every part of the job. After talking to him I felt comfortable believing the job would be done correctly.  We talked about materials and agreed on a price that was comparable to other bids. I told him I was not in a hurry. A different contractor said it would be 6 weeks so I guess in my mind I thought work would start in about that time frame. To be fair, Mike never gave me a start date.  This all happened in the middle of May.
 THE BAD   It took a week before we picked shingle brand and color and I paid an $8000 payment. 2 large pallets of materials arrived in the first week of June. The next communication with Mike was the last week of June with him saying the weather had slowed him down.The next contact was the middle of July. Mike said it would be a little longer. I contacted him again at the end of August and he said he was heading my way soon. I contacted him middle of Sept. and was told 2 weeks weather permitting. After 2 weeks Mike texted me saying it would be longer.  I replied with concerns about the material being on pallets in my yard for 4 months and gave him 3 weeks to start work or refund my payment minus material costs. He replied he had the permit and would start work the first week of Oct. Dumpster arrived on a Monday 8 days later. Some wood was dropped off on Friday. Work started the next Friday.
 MORE GOOD   Once the crew was here they did a great job. They protected my and the neighbors house during tear off and cleaned up every day. After tear off we discovered the addition roof tie in needed to be corrected which was outside the original bid. Mike rebuilt that and it looks and functions great. He did a lot of extras like disposing of some junk I had and putting some bolts in the front porch for a swing. He also partially roofed the playhouse to match the house(untill he ran out of shingles).I was very happy with the work.
MORE BAD  A week later I requested a paid in full invoice for taxes and the playhouse roof to be finished and Mike said he would take care of it.
It's been 7 weeks and still no invoice or finished roof on the playhouse.
FINAL WORD   If you want a quality job and have no time pressure then I recommend Mike. This was a 2 1/2 story hip roof and was not an easy job and took over 7 days to complete. That may have figured in to to delay. All in all it's been a roller coaster ride. He probably would have gotten here sooner if his Angies list A rating (and rightfully so in most cases) wouldn't have increased his business so much.

I wasn't sure this would end up to be a good idea but, it turned out a very pleasant experience. They did it all from start to finish. They spent the first day and a half gathering the trash and debris left by the tenants. They must have pulled four trailers worth of mess out to the dump. Then they went through the whole place; removing nails from the walls, doing the patchwork on the plaster and lathe (where we wanted it repaired and pulled out where we wanted drywall replaced), sanding all the spots and removing the mess. Then they started in with the heavy repairs in the putting in a couple of windows and hanging the drywall where needed, they taped off all the walls, fixtures and windows to ready it for paint. After painting and waiting for it to dry; then they started outside clearing out the brush and debris left behind. They also worked to dress up the yard with great ideas like window boxes and fresh flowers! . They did all the paint work inside the house and finished up by touching up the outside paint. They went back through the house last time and shampooed the carpets, cleaned the stove and fridge, and put fresh new chalk in all the needed spots. I know I may not have all the right terminology but, these folks Really saved the day! When they left the place was spotless and the time and money we spent was well worth giving up the headache of that mess to someone else and finding they'd done a great job! Wonderful!"

"Mike DiMaggio’s lack of communication or follow-up were disappointing. First person to take measurements did them improperly. Second person to to measurements, Chuck, was very thorough. I felt the Window Nation Team tried very hard after the initial setbacks. Coordination Team and Installers were very professional, timely and friendly. "A handyman/ contractor named Mike performed the work w/in my home. The Pros, included him being punctual, time- efficient and performing the work described w/o incident/ difficulty. I am pleased w/ the work. I was extremely dissatisfied w/ the price of the work however. Upon the initial assessment a price that I sincerely felt was inflated was given. I decided to address the immediate concerns w/in my home and given Covid did not want repeated people entering to gather a second estimate, I went w Mike. I paid 1/2 of the initial price as was policy at the start of him beginning to work w/in my home via Zelle. This was fine. He was unable to finish the work in one day, which was also fine and I asked him about add'l smaller projects w/in my home that he had the option to accept/ decline. He accepted. One was to perform a job similar in size/ labor as a previous job we had discussed that was no longer needed. I suggested the initial price either be lowered or the jobs swapped as an even exchange. A second job was placing a recessed lighbulb where one had previously burned out. He agreed. Upon of completion of the work the remaining balance increased by a little over $200. I was stunned. He did not swap out the initial job as was implied since he NEVER stated otherwise and charged me $100 to place new handles on my kitchen cabinets and charged me $50 to insert the lightbulb. Given that he is a stranger and I am not looking for fights I paid him in full and asked him to leave my home. I felt taken advantage of, ****** and would never refer such a greedy individual to anyone- which is a shame b/c while advancing himself upwards of $200 he ultimately lost thousands in certain call- backs I would have made and referrals I would have gladly given."
