Get matched with top metal siding: repairer or partially replacers in Raleigh, NC

"I needed a new siding installed in one of our old property before renting it out. I had received several quotes from different companies but went with Ideal. Not only were they the best price, but they were done quickly and the house looks amazing. I would use them again and recommend them to anyone who needs siding repairs or a new siding installed."

"Beth Lindsey and Brandon Freeman were both very professional and very easy to work with. This was partial replacement of the exterior siding on our home, and it was amazing how well the James Hardie pre-finished siding matched up with the existing siding. The job was started on time, completed on schedule, and everything was cleaned up afterward. We’re very pleased with their work and will be using these folks for future projects."

"They gave a good quote and were very easy to work with. The communication was also effective. I was not impressed with the workmanship though. I may consider hiring them for an out of the way spot but not for anything critical or highly visible. The example that I will give that I consider to be very indicative is that when they replaced one of the two boards with the dryer exhaust, the panel was not cut to allow for the dryer to actually exhaust. The dryer still works because half of the hole is still there in the board that didn't need replacement but still I now have to get up on my roof and do it myself so I don't loose efficiency in the dryer. This says to me that any other aspect of the job requiring attention to detail also needs to be checked - not what I want to be doing when I went to the trouble to hire someone else to do the work."

"Fantastic and professional. We have a small house and lost some of our gutters to a snow storm, so we decided to renovate the rest of our gutter system while repairing the damaged sections. Working with HGE was a refreshingly positive experience. All of their team members were courteous, straightforward, and responsive. The work took two days with a weather interruption in between, but communication was prompt which let us accommodate the weather. All in all, great company. I just wish they did fencing so I could hire them again."

"Labor day weekend, this year, we were hit with a nasty hailstorm. I thought we had escaped unscathed but, then, my neighbors started saying that they needed to have their roofs replaced. That was when I, begrudgingly, figured that it was in my family's best interest to have professionals examine the roof. I hate the process of finding a contractor. Most of them, even if they respond initially, never get back to me. Perhaps it's because I'm female and they don't take me seriously (joke's on them because I execute all of the major financial decisions in my household), but I also suspect that there has been an increasing lack of integrity in the contractor profession, as a whole. Anyway, I never got this feeling from Ed Shook. He is the type of person who makes you think that he actually wants your business and wants to prove that he can do a good job. From day one, he was responsive, respectful, and fair. He responded to our first call the day that we made it, and he showed up prepared with lots of information, pictures of previous jobs, and even a list of other houses that he had worked on in the area. He was more than willing to work with what our insurance company required. Anytime that I contacted him, I could expect a response within the same day. Most importantly, he and his crew did an excellent job on our roof. It only took one day and it looks fantastic. I recommend Ed Shook Jr. Contracting with no reservations, at all. And it's nice to actually have the opportunity to finally say that about a contractor! Thank you, Ed!"

"This is a first rate company that did an awesome job on my 32 year old house. It looks brand new! They replaced some boards and painted the whole exterior which includes a front porch and sunroom. The staff were friendly and professional and I loved the ease of working with them. They were easy to contact and very accommodating to my needs. I would totally recommend them and will use them again in the future."

"The two young men arrived on time and patiently answered any question I had. They were very careful with the landscaping around the house and no plant was harmed. The roof and gutters look good as new. I would definitely recommend Fairway Home Detailing for this type of work."

"I called Gary the Handyman to find the source of moisture ingress on our roof and to replace the rotting wood resulting from the moisture ingress. The estimator arrived at the appointed time. He did a very good job explaining his observations. He was very thorough and professional. I received the quotation the next day. The quotation was reasonable. The repair person arrived on the expected day. He did a very good job. He found that the damage was more extensive than first predicted. He communicated the changes to me. I authorized the additional repairs. The repairs were completed in a timely fashion. I highly recommend Gary the Handyman. I will definitely use them again."
