"After 30 years in our home, our kitchen needed some updates. Our original cabinets were solid wood/custom made to the kitchen, so we were hesitate to simply discard them. We opted for wood veneer reface, new quartz countertops, porcelain farm sink and new tile backsplash. The results are amazing. Our installers/carpenters - John B. and Bobby did a truly amazing job refacing the cabinets, installing the sink and all the doors/drawers. I especially appreciated their attention to detail on all the trim. Our space is complicated, and they addressed it all - with skill and great attitudes. The new kitchen is just beautiful. They did a great job."

"I am thrilled with the look of my kitchen cabinets! The workmanship is amazing! My kitchen looks larger and brighter. I love the cabinet opening beneath the counter… now I can reach everything in that impossible corner cabinet. Thank you, Shane, for an excellent transformation!"

"Wanted custom cabinets to match the cabinets that were already in the house. After providing a rough drawing of what we wanted, discussed the design with Floyd. He was able to build exactly what we wanted. They look great and we are very pleased with the final product."

"Steve Tague came to our home to see what we wanted done, and show us samples of the finishes.  We picked the ones we wanted and he gave us a quote that was reasonable, so we signed on the dotted line.  Had the work scheduled for the next week, and the crew showed up on time Monday morning and went right to work.  They never stopped, and had the kitchen counters mostly completed that day, came back same time on Tuesday and finished up the remaining work around 2:30 pm.
They did a great job, and we are very pleased with the results.  They were very professional, and cleaned everything up when they left both days, except for the masking that was still necessary for the next day.   They answered all of our questions, and left us with their a small bottle of cleaning solution to use.
This is a wonderful alternative to spending thousands of dollars replacing counters, tubs or tile.  They also can do vanities, but I like the way mine looks, so didn't have that refinished.  If I ever do want to change it, I will call Miracle Method again, and have no problem recommending them for this type of work.
I would advise anyone having work done in the kitchen to be sure you get out whatever you will need for the next day, because all of our cabinets, appliances, sink and the half of the kitchen not having work done were sealed in plastic, and the bathroom sink was usable, but the rest was sealed up.  This is a minor inconvenience, but less of one if you are prepared for it.
Excellent job done, and beautiful results!  We are very happy with Miracle Method.

"Everything went fantastic. We actually love our kitchen and laundry room now. We had gotten to the point we hated the kitchen and tolerated the laundry room. Now both and especially the kitchen look very elegant. Working with Micah was wonderful. He was very professional, offered many suggestions on what was needed or how it should be done. He was honest, listened and understood what we needed, went out of his way to insure that we were happy and was very meticulous about his work.
We have a very large kitchen so needless to say it was a major undertaking especially correcting all the problems left by the original cabinet maker. When Micah finished it looked like we had installed all new high-end cabinets but at almost half the price of putting in new cabinets.
So anyone that has a situation like us where the cabinet boxes themselves are salvageable we highly recommend Residential Facelift.  We had looked at other companies that reface kitchen cabinets but found that their techniques were not appealing and were more expensive. We are definitely pleased with the work Residential Facelift had done and highly recommend them. In fact we are already thinking about them doing the cabinets and trim in our master bathroom (again fixing the disaster from the original cabinet maker)."

"There are 5 steps in this process.
The first, is of course, selecting the desired granite & sinks.  The sinks are already included in the price.
The second step is a template is made of your current counter top measurements.  This requires that your countertops be cleared off completely, as the template is made not by measuring but by laying thin strips of wood on the back, sides and around the sink actually making a physical template.  If your are upgrading your faucets, it's necessary to already have them so the faucet hole in the granite can be cut along with the rest of the granite.
The third step is tear out of the old counter tops.  Again, counter tops must be cleared off completely.  Also I removed the drawers & laid old sheets over anything left in the bottom of the cabinets.  The tear out went smoothly, no unintentional collateral damage & it wasn't as messy as I was expecting.  The guys were friendly, did a nice job and cleaned up after themselves.
The 4th step is the installation of the granite countertops & new sinks.  For a kitchen and two bathrooms this took approximately 3hrs.  The installers were careful to cover the floors to protect them while they worked.  Now, I'm not a craftsman but everything looked great.  Again, they made a concious effort to clean up after themselves.
The 5th step is the plumbing.  Installing the faucets and garbage disposal if needed.  This was done quickly & a month later still no problems or leaks detected. They even cleaned out the U or pea trap in the pipes.
I would definitely recommend this company.  The only complaint that I had was that sometimes my calls were not returned by the workers - making me have to call again. Alicia always seemed available & always returned calls - the difficulty came when trying to contact the actual skilled laborers.
Additional Costs(other than install price per sq ft):faucets upgrade $200 eachtear-out $250plumbing $350
Lessons Learned:To get a square-foot measurement, measure the length and width of your countertop. Multiply these numbers together. If you've measured in inches, divide the result by 144 to get to approximate square footage.  This does not have to be exact just a ball park to get an estimate.
Upgraded from builders grade, laminate counters which had a small front lip covering an inch or two of the cabinets frame - the granite is flush with the counter which left this previous unseen area exposed & needing paint.
The top of the dishwasher which was also hidden by the laminate counter lip now had a noticeable gap. The installers are not responsible for this issue & suggested just adjusting the dishwasher legs, but the gap was larger than the legs could be heightened requiring a piece of wood to be placed & painted.
Upgraded from builders grade, laminate counters - the backsplash of 2-3 inches on the side walls was higher than the granite backsplash, so once the laminate was removed the sheetrock behind it was exposed.  This area needed additional sheetrock mud to smooth the indentation plus paint.  If possible do this in advance  - the template guy pried them off during his visit - allowing two weeks before installation to accomplish this.

"The owner called me to complain about my previous review. In fact it had been 5 days not 10 days on the bathroom remodel estimate. He told me he was waiting on his cabinet man to get back in touch. I did recheck his email and he had put the wrong date on it. I apologized for the error in my review and offered to let him continue on with his estimate. He declined my offer. The only negative I have about Epie's was their price was so much higher than my other 2 estimates. I am sure he does quality work based on the other reviews I read. Personally he was very nice on his visit."

FAQs for cabinets reface projects in Grantville, GA

Absolutely. Refacing returns 65% to 80% of your investment at resale, and you get an updated kitchen right now. Because you’re not paying for new boxes or demo work, the price lands well below complete replacement but still delivers a fresh, custom look that buyers—and you—notice every time you walk in.

To trim costs, start by pricing a high-quality paint or gel stain instead of full refacing—stain alone can be one-third the price of full refacing. Keep existing hinges and pulls if they’re in good shape, and shop sales for sandpaper, primer, and sealer. The sweat equity is real, but so are the savings, and a careful DIY job can still leave your cabinets looking sharp for years to come.

A professional crew needs only three to five days to reface a standard kitchen, although a larger layout or intricate door style may add one to two days. Compare that with the several weeks a full cabinet swap can drag on. In other words, you get your space back fast, often before the paint on the new doors is even fully cured.

Yes, you can replace just the cabinet doors and drawer fronts without covering the cabinet boxes. Cabinet refacing involves installing new doors and drawer fronts while applying veneers to existing cabinet boxes. If you’re satisfied with the condition of your cabinets, swapping doors and drawer fronts reduces labor and materials, saving you time and cost. Always consult a professional to confirm compatibility and ensure a seamless, high-quality finish.

Most cabinet refacing projects do not require removing countertops because professionals can access doors and drawers around existing surfaces. However, if your countertop overhang prevents full access to the cabinet boxes, contractors may need to lift the countertop to install veneers properly temporarily. Discuss this with your refacing specialist during the on-site estimate so you know exactly what the project entails.
