"I generally don't take time to write reviews like this unless I am really impressed with the company and the quality of their work. Premium Drainage and Erosion Solutions definitely impressed me - they are probably the best contractor I have worked with. The owner, Adrian, is extremely professional and goes above and beyond to ensure that his customer is happy with the work. I don't think I have one single complaint with the work they did, which consisted of three projects: 1. Removal of a concrete patio and installation of a large Techo Bloc paver patio 2. A custom built pergola with privacy wall, hand railings, and gate 3. French drain that ran through the back of the yard that was connected to the downspouts from the house which ran under the patio I received a few quotes for this project. The owner, Adrian, impressed me from day one - the quote was competitive, but what really set it apart from the other companies was the level of detail provided for the project. The quote included a detailed explanation of what would be done and with what materials - the other companies provided much more vague descriptions. Adrian took the time to walk through the property to explain the work that would be performed. When I had follow-up questions, he made another in-person visit to walk through things again. Responses to email communications were very prompt. When Adrian is busy onsite or meeting other clients, Marissa consistency monitored emails and made sure Adrian got back to me to address any questions I had. Before the work started, Adrian made another visit to confirm the details of the project before commencing work. Once the work started, the crew was very careful not to damage the lawn with - as much as you could be with all of the work being performed and the heavy equipment required. Jose, the crew chief, and his team were very careful with removal of the concrete patio and did a lot of prep work and going over the ground multiple times with a soil compactor to ensure it was level and firm prior to installation of the pavers. The drains for the downspouts were also run underneath the ground and connected to our french drain (something the company that built our concrete patio did not do). The Techo Bloc pavers are a bit more expensive, but they look amazing and are definitely worth the price. The area we live in is pretty windy, so we needed a pergola that was well anchored. The pergola was custom built 13 x 15 and almost 10 feet tall, with posts anchored 2 feet into the ground with concrete. A few smaller posts were also added for the privacy wall, hand railing, and gate. The ground in our backyard slopes a bit, so they needed to make sure everything was designed so that is was completely level. During the project, we decided to make a couple of changes to what we wanted - Jose and his team were able to adjust on the fly with no issues. When digging the drain, the crew was very careful not to damage the lawn - many areas that were dug up would be replaced with the sod. When the drain was completed, it's almost impossible to tell that the yard was dug up at all. In areas where the lawn was too damaged to recover, it was replaced with new sod as part of the project. The same was done around the patio as there was no way the lawn would recover in those areas due to the extent of the work being performed. Throughout the project, Adrian would consistently stop by the check and progress and see if I had any questions or concerns. At the end of the project, he did a couple of walkthroughs to confirm the quality of the work and that there were no issues that needed to be addressed. Adrian identified a few very minor issues that I didn't even notice and sent his crew out again to fix them. This really demonstrated to me that customer satisfaction was more important to him that his bottom line. If I have any additional projects in the future that they specialize in, Premium Drainage and Erosion Solutions will definitely be my first choice."

"I used Superior Landscaping for a front yard project in Oct 2018. The work included tree/stump/root removal, removing all existing front shrubs/bushes and replacing them with new bushes and ornamental trees, sodding the front and side yards, and re-landscaping all mulch beds. "I called Waterproofing Inc on a Wednesday and we scheduled an appointment for an estimate for Saturday. Steve promptly came at the scheduled time and we reviewed the situation in my basement.   I told him of my goal to have a finished DRY basement.  He looked at my existing pump and drain. He suggested that I could apply (or have applied) plastic sheeting to the walls to help with the seepage problem. However, he doesn't do that type of work. He also asked me what I thought the problem was with the moisture problem. He suggested that he could extend the current waterproofing system along the entire back wall and gave me a written estimate for that work. The reason that I rated him a B and said I would hire him was because I didn't feel confident in his diagnosis of the root cause of the water problem and his proposed solution to address the issue so that my basement could be dry. I am looking for a one stop shop with a solution driven individual who comes in as a problem solver. I just didn't get that from Steve. He didn't even look (or ask to look) outside the house to see how the water comes off the back of the house where the problem is.  I'm guess if I just wanted someone to drill up the concrete and put a drain in, he would be fine because his price was reasonable for that work. But I'm looking for a holistic solution provider who will address all issues with the most effective and efficient techniques to keep my basement dry.  I just wouldn't hire him for that role."

"Went very well.  VRN Masonry is extremely customer focused and communicated well via Angie's list messenger (which worked all for me) and via phone.  We met for 2 design phases.  Clear cut estimate in which I confirmed our discussions.  I was unsure of concrete steps or replacing with wooden steps that were previously there.  VRN Masonry assisted in deciding and designing the concrete steps.  The job was professional and the workers were did a great job.   I would highly recommend.  In addition the estimate was on par or below 3 other estimates.

"Mr. George Small the owner came out himself to give me an estimate for putting in a new driveway. He was not pushy and was very respectful. He explained the process and answered my questions. He gave me a verbal estimate which he followed up a few hours later with a written estimate. After he left I had another company come out with an estimate which prompted me to ask additional questions of Mr. Small. He was very responsive in answering my calls in a very timely manner. Once I signed the contract he scheduled the work. The crew showed up as scheduled and finished the job in one day. All the crew members were polite and friendly. You could tell they worked together for a long time because everyone did what they were supposed to do without being told. I only found out later who the supervisor was on the team. Removing a driveway and replacing it is a messy job, but the crew completely cleaned everything up before they left and were very respectful of my property. I can not recommend Falls Church Paving enough. The communication was excellent with Mr. Small and the crew, which is very important to me. The whole experience was so wonderful because it went so smoothly. I credit Mr. Small with knowing exactly what needed to be done and having a wonderful, experienced crew to execute the job."

We had suffered occasional blockages of the kitchen double-sink drain from use of the disposal, and Adam discovered that the double trap was causing waste matter to settle in the line, eventually plugging it. After we discussed solutions, I had him replumb it with a single trap and a built-in drain line cleanout. He did a thoroughly professional job. I'm grateful that Pipe Doctor was so prompt in sending him out; he was there within two hours of my call. It cost a bit more than I expected, but I was willing to do it right rather than have to do it again, and the price was fair for the work involved."

"Working with Mike (the owner), Jose (the lead craftsman) and Angel (his skilled assistant) was an absolute pleasure.  Mike is a very knowledgeable and nice person.  He responded well to all of our questions and concerns, and educated us about the intricacies of stone work.  He made sure that we understood precisely what to expect on this project.  Jose is an exceptional artist.  He has a great eye for setting stone and for details that make a difference.  For example, he shaped the end of the walkway as it met the stoop in a way that makes it quite aesthetically pleasing.  Moreover, we had not even thought of this or asked for it.  Both Jose and Angel did exceptional work in selecting and arranging both the flagstone (pavers) and the fieldstone (which went on the risers.  The result in front and on the side is exceptional.  The side was a half moon, and Jose and Angel cut and arranged the stone perfectly.  Moreover, both of these highly skilled men were very pleasant to work with.  They always showed up promptly and cleaned up very carefully every day.  We were thoroughly impressed with their total professionalism, and would use them again in any future projects. Mike clearly takes pride in his company's work.  He stopped by to make sure that we were happy with the finished project.  Not only did we tell him that this was a very positive experience with Maxsell, but told him that we would definitely call him for any future stone work."
