"April and Anthony are real go-getters, enthusiastic and professional. They gave me a reasonable bid, got the work done quickly with excellent results. Their crew was careful with the preparation, worked well as a team and left the job site clean and in good shape. I would definitely use them again and recommend them without hesitation."

"To start, Lee’s estimator provided the most complete estimate of 4 companies at a competitive price. <br /> <br /> The surface preparation and installation of the asphalt were outstanding. Lee personally checked the site, preparation and completed work to ensure I was satisfied with the project. <br /> Old Pueblo Sealcoating did a great job of preparation prior to the sealcoating to ensure that all dirt and loose old coatings were <br /> removed. They scraped, brushed and power brushed the surface, prior to blowing it clean. Cracks were hot sealed prior to a full hand sealcoat. <br /> Overall I am pleased with the project. I was however, put off by receiving as “Arizona Preliminary Twenty Day Lien Notice” mailed the day after the bill was mailed and 15 days before the bill was due. I understand that contractors have no other recourse to ensure bills are paid, but the issuance was premature and indicated a lack of trust on a job that was not yet complete. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"Sunrise Asphalt did a great job sealing my driveway. Les Silberman (owner) was on site to explain the process in detail to my mother and myself. His company uses a high quality sealant. The crew of three was professional and did a fantastic job with the application of the sealant, since my driveway is lined with rocks. I am very pleased with the quality of their work and I will refer them to my neighbors and friends. Sunrise Asphalt will be my number one choice for any future needs."

"Tucson Asphalt Contractors did a great job in all phases, from quote to performance. <br /> <br /> The estimator (Joe R.) was punctual for the appointment and the quote was reasonable (although not the lowest). His demeanor and confidence convinced us to chose Tucson Asphalt Contractors for the job. Seeing some of their other work done in the area (such as bike lanes recently added to a neighboring road) was a great plus in convincing us. <br /> <br /> The work itself lasted almost 2 days. One day to tear the existing driveway and regrade the area, and another day to pour and smooth the asphalt. <br /> <br /> Both crews (tear-up and asphalt) were very punctual (arrived pretty much at dawn) and polite. Work was done in a very professional and efficient manner. Despite the narrowness of some areas, they were very careful around the house and yard and there was no damage to the landscape, except a couple of small tree branches that snapped. <br /> In other words, the job went extremely smoothly and on time. <br /> <br /> We highly recommend Tucson Asphalt Contractors and will gladly re-hire them for any asphalt driveway work."

"I have dealt with a lot of contractors over the past few months having managed my own pool project. I learned that 90% of contractors have terrible customer service. They don't call back, they don't show up on time or even the day they said they would and just aren't the friendliest of people. Having said that my experience with Amazing Scapes was a complete 180. The owner, Robert Duran, is very professional and responsive. He answers his phone 99% of the time and when he doesn't he calls right back. He was very helpful when trying to decide on a design and what material to use and gave his hones opinion. He brought samples out and explained all the differences between each one. He and his crew responded every day they said they would and on time. The turf they initially installed became loose with wrinkles in it. That being said, when I contacted Robert about it he was more than helpful and had his crew back out the following day and they spent the whole day attempting to make it right but it turns out there was something wrong with that particular roll of turf. Robert again was very prompt to fix it and contacted the manufacturer who sent out a brand new roll. The new turf was installed without a problem and my family and I couldn't be happier. The pavers were installed without a problem and look fantastic as well."

FAQs for asphalt paving installation projects in Green Valley, AZ

Most driveways wrap up in roughly a week. Allow two to three days for installation, followed by an additional two to three days for the surface to cure. Concrete and asphalt follow this timeline, whereas a gravel job often finishes more quickly. Laying out the schedule upfront makes it easier to plan your week and your budget.

Sealer prevents water, salt, and UV rays from damaging the surface. Apply a fresh coat every one to three years, and you’ll slow down the growth of cracks, avoid pricey repairs, and keep the driveway looking sharp. A local professional can handle the job efficiently and ensure even coverage.

Material is the significant driver when it comes to the lifespan of a driveway. Asphalt stays strong for about 20 years, concrete lasts 30 to 40 years, and paver stones can last 50 to 100 years because you can swap out damaged bricks. With regular top-ups, a gravel drive can also reach the century mark. Knowing these timelines helps you map out long-term maintenance and replacement costs.

Repaving strips everything down and starts fresh, letting you change the layout or improve drainage before pouring new material. Resurfacing, on the other hand, adds a top layer over a solid base, giving you a facelift without the need for a complete demolition. Go with repaving when the base is failing; choose resurfacing when the structure is sound and you just need a new surface.
