"After receiving quotes from two other reputable landscaping companies, we decided to go with Blue Ribbon for two reasons: they had the BEST quality "turf" (similar pricing) and they were the only bid that suggested recycling our beautiful red brick (instead of buying expensive artistic pavers or flagstone) and re-design the pattern to a gorgeous Herringbone 45 degree angle AND seal the red brick giving it a fabulous glossy look. I have to tell you, I was nervous after I signed the contract, wrote a check and read a few negative reviews on Google sites but our experience was FANTASTIC! 
Phil quoted us 4-6 weeks since they are in busy season and they came on week 6 (we were in no rush, it is 105 degrees outside!). The job took them a mere 3 days and it came out waaaaay BETTER than I expected/ envisioned! Truly- blown away with the quality of work and craftsmanship from his team! Not to mention, they were all extremely professional and wonderful to work with. Very courteous and polite!
Like any major project, I would highly recommend being home for the initial start and reviewing the contract and a diagram of your expectations with the crew supervisor... our brick was almost re-laid out in the same pattern! They were totally cool about it and made sure it was done exactly as planned.
About a month after the project was completed, we had extreme rainfall in Tucson and noticed a divot in the turf. Phil's team came over the very next day, pulled the turf back, filled the hole and good as new. NOW THAT IS SERVICE!
5 stars because they were awesome all the way- from Phil in Sales to the Crew who made our yard the envy of the neighborhood. I would HIGHLY recommend Blue Ribbon Builders.

I hired Exxcell Landscaping for a turf and irrigation job in my backyard and could not be more pleased with the outcome. Working with Alfredo was a joy. He's an exceptionally pleasant human being to be around. He was knowledgeable about what needed to be done and exercised his considerable expertise to make recommendations and shape the project in ways this layperson could not have contemplated. He listened to what I wanted and suggested enhancements that were hard to reject. I am particularly pleased with the plants he picked out and where he placed them while my kids agree the turf is best thing we've done to the house. I love that my kids have a new, safe, and beautiful play surface to enjoy. I'd trust Excell Landscaping with any landscaping job. I'm currently planning a hardscape lighting project with them and sometimes in the future plan to replace some dull brick with pavers. If I get results similar on future jobs, I'll be immensely pleased."

"I felt pressured/rushed into signing a contract. I had asked for an estimate, and when the gentleman showed up, he wrote out a contract instead of an estimate. The pricing for the removal of 3 concrete and rock steps, installation of 5 brick steps and 2 handrails was ridiculously high but I wasnâ t given a chance to shop around. The contract didnâ t break down material costs, labor costs or taxes. It was a quick installation of the steps but shoddy work. The bottom step fell apart within the 1st week, causing my 83 yr old stepdad to fall. This company subcontracted for my handrails. There was a complete lack of communication between this company and the rail company. It took over 6 weeks to complete this simple job. . The railings were installed after 4 weeks. While it literally took all day to install the rails, they did turn out quite nice. Also, I was promised replacement bricks in case of chips or breaks in the future and still havenâ t received those. All things considered, I donâ t think I would recommend this company."

"Sergio was great to work with! I have an old adobe house and had some bricks that needed to be patched/repaired. He came out and gave me a fair quote right away and then scheduled the work. He did a great job and was so nice throughout the process. He then came back after he was finished to touch up a few areas. I will definitely call him again when I need this kind of work."

"LM did a fine job for me. Luis and his team were punctual, hard working and their attention to detail and work ethic were top notch. They even had to work through the hottest temperatures of the year. They are still needed at my home to finish up the remaining portion of brick pavers which I decided on late into the job. We had some extra pavers and felt it would be really nice to tie the front entrance into the side and backyard look. All in all very pleased with them and love my new backyard and side yard. Would totally recommend them to anyone."

This week they just finished up our back yard project: patio overlay and extends into yard with pavers, artificial grass, planting, hooking up water to the plants, & the final touch of adding landscape lighting.
