WINNER OF BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU TORCH AWARDS FOR CUSTOMER EXCELLENCE FOR 2012. Temperature Control, Inc. a heating and air conditioning company, has been owned and operated by Vance W. Macleod since 1982. Temperature Control, Inc. is licensed, bonded, insured and is an accredited member of the Better Business Bureau, with an A+ rating. We are a customer service business and we live by the motto: “We are not happy unless our customers are happy!” We offer financing, we accept all major credit cards. "I had a horrible experience with Temperature Control. My AC stopped working on July 3rd 2023, I hired Temperature Control to diagnose the issue. I already suspected it was the blower fan motor, and Tony the Tech from Temperature Control confirmed my suspicion. However, he made it sound like a nightmare, claiming it was a rare "legacy" part that would be extremely difficult and expensive to obtain. He even went so far as to say he couldn't provide an accurate estimate. After disappearing into his truck, Tony returned with what he called "4 options" for me, each with shockingly high prices ranging from $2,186.43 to a staggering $21,874. The fixed included a $701.55 charge to clean the blower wheel. As if that wasn't enough, he then tried to convince me to purchase a completely new AC system, persisting for about 30 minutes. Seeing through their tactics, I told them I needed time to think and sent them away. Refusing to be taken advantage of, I decided to call another company for a second opinion. They promptly examined my AC and fixed the issue for a mere $560, which included a simple cleaning of the blower wheel using a basic hose. I asked the other company if it was a hard blower motor to obtain and they stated that it was the most common motor. In my opinion, Temperature Control operates in bad faith, preying on people in vulnerable situations. Their attempt to exploit my urgent need for AC repair by proposing exorbitant prices and pushing unnecessary replacements is utterly despicable. I strongly advise others to steer clear of this company and seek more honest and reputable alternatives."

We are a family owned and operated business specializing in the cleaning and refinishing of tile and cement surfaces, installation of decorative cement overlays, and one of the only companies offering "eco friendly" stains and sealers.

"I recently had the misfortune of hiring “Rogos” to redo the floors in my home. What was supposed to be a simple renovation turned into a full-blown horror story. Let me share my spine-chilling experience: 1. The Unholy Installation Ritual: we paid a moving company to move all of our furniture out into a pod, moved our three dogs and three cats, two kids and two adults into a small Airbnb for three weeks. Imagine that all this costs at least $8000. 2. The “Artistic” Approach: Gabriel Rodriguez. To start, he is a misogynist and spoke down to me on the phone and in person when he came for an estimate. When my husband was present, he was a different person and stated that our current tile was “fine”, and they would just pour concrete over the top. Little did we know this would just be a band aid for still having tile cracking underneath in multiple areas of the house. When we called to have them reevaluate about six months after when the floor started to crack and elevate, they returned and said they would fix it for Amir $3000. Once I was done, the floor in this 2’ x 10’ area was a completely different color than the rest of our house. They then stated they would fix the color of the rest of the house to match for another mere few thousand dollars. Fast forward another two weeks, we have dog hair stained and sealed into our floors. The staining is now becoming bleached and cracked in multiple areas as in photos below. 1. The Stain Saga: the colors in this house are absolutely egregious (after their “fix”, but also before). None of the floors are the same color as other parts of the home, there’s a whirlpool right in the middle of our living room (see photo), the baseboards were supposed to be same color as the floor however, at least 10 shades darker and still multiple different color, also with deterioration less than a year out. 2. The Creaking Symphony: the two year warranty on the contract that Hass to be signed, does not cover anything, so why do they have one? We have multiple areas of cracks and splits in the floor due to the fact that they recommended we didn’t rip out the current tile. 3. Customer Service Nightmare: When I called to express my dissatisfaction, Kevin was the only reasonable human. He came to the house and admitted it was horrible, he couldn’t fathom what a horrific job and stated he wouldn’t be able to live here. He also admitted Gabriel has had a history of treating females in a derogatory manor, then we quickly learned Gabriel’s brother is the owner of the company. Their only offer was that they could redo and repaint the floors for “”free, however, again another 8000+ dollars would have to be spent to move out and rent an Airbnb for a month which is not possible for us after we spent $25,000 plus on this hack job Conclusion: Avoid “Rogos.” at all costs. If you value your sanity, stick to carpet or invest in a pair of levitating shoes. My home now doubles as a haunted attraction."

FAQs for chimney cap installation and replacement projects in Green Valley, AZ

A properly constructed chimney crown using quality materials can last 50 to 70 years with appropriate maintenance. Poorly constructed crowns might need replacement in 20 years or less. Weather exposure, freeze-thaw cycles, and construction quality all affect longevity. Regular inspections and prompt repairs of minor issues can significantly extend your chimney crown's useful life and prevent more costly repairs down the road.

Homeowners' insurance covers sudden, accidental damage to chimney crowns from events like fallen trees or storm damage. However, gradual deterioration from age or lack of maintenance falls outside coverage parameters. Review your specific policy details, as coverage varies between insurers. Document any storm-related damage with photos and maintain records of regular chimney maintenance to support potential claims for weather-related damage.

The chimney crown forms the concrete or masonry covering across the entire top surface of your chimney, sloping away from the flue to direct water away. A chimney cap, by contrast, is a smaller component that fits directly over the flue opening to prevent animal entry and block sparks. While the cap protects just the flue opening, the crown safeguards the entire chimney structure from water penetration.

Professional chimney inspections should occur annually to evaluate crown condition along with other chimney components. Homeowners in regions with severe weather patterns or frequent freeze-thaw cycles might benefit from semi-annual inspections. A thorough inspection examines the crown for cracks, spalling, deteriorating mortar joints, and proper water drainage. Early detection of minor issues prevents them from developing into major structural problems.

A deteriorating chimney crown frequently leads to interior moisture problems. When water penetrates crown cracks, it can travel through the chimney structure into adjacent walls and ceilings. This moisture migration often results in stained drywall, peeling paint, and potential mold growth. Early intervention through crown repair or sealing prevents these secondary damages and protects your home's interior from water-related deterioration.
