"Andrew Young is very knowledgable and skilled at what he does. The work he and his crew did was neat and considerate. He pruned an apple tree that had been very damaged in a storm and hadn't had a blossom in years. That summer it produced an abundance of fruit. We had a couple of trees taken down, to put up solar panels. He was very understanding and sympathetic, about how difficult that was emotionally. We really like his personality. <br />"

"Lyndon Tree did a great job. They used equipment that could get to our backyard without any damage to our property and they cleaned up after the pruning completely. The grass is growing and they even added more seed when they came back and noticed some small spots that hadn't started to grow grass. Corey and his workers were professional, answered all of our questions, and explained everything that they were doing. I would definitely hire Lyndon Tree to do future jobs."

"They listened and executed in a timely and accurate manner. We're really happy with the end result--a beautiful walkway that matches the style of the house. When our requested design didn't actually make sense when translated to reality, they offered us a revised idea that would work better and it did. And they were a pleasure to deal with. Really pleased."

"I was very nervous about having this done as I value my plantings which are near, including two vines which climb ON the fence. L and L replaced all the posts, my gates work better than they ever did, and they managed to do almost no damage to the landscaping. They managed to reuse all but one of the copper caps, so we didn't have much waste. We got multiple price estimates. They were substantially below another highly recommended fencing company, and didn't push us to replace things which didn't need replacing. <br />"

FAQs for brick and stone patios, walks, and steps installation projects in Greenfield, MA

When cleaning your flagstone patio, begin by gently hosing off loose dirt and debris. Use a mild solution of white vinegar and water or diluted dish soap to scrub the surface with a soft-bristled brush. Avoid using abrasive tools, such as wire brushes, as they can damage the stone’s seal and finish. This careful approach effectively removes mold and grime while preserving the natural beauty of your patio.

Flagstone naturally offers a neutral palette that includes shades of grey, black, red, yellow, brown, and tan, and its inherent color cannot be altered. Choosing varieties like bluestone provides a subtle bluish tint that complements many exterior designs. These natural hues enhance curb appeal and create a refined, timeless look in your outdoor space, ensuring a sophisticated finish with minimal upkeep.

Flagstone for a patio must have a minimum thickness of 1.5 inches to reliably support furniture and foot traffic. Using stone that is two to three inches thick is recommended to ensure lasting durability. The increased thickness prevents cracking under load and enhances long-term performance. Investing in thicker flagstone provides superior stability and resistance to weather conditions, ensuring your outdoor space remains both safe and attractive.

You can paint a flagstone patio by using a high-quality, outdoor elastomeric latex paint designed for heavy foot traffic. Painting not only refreshes the patio’s appearance but also creates a waterproof barrier that protects the stone from damage. Regular reapplication every one to two years maintains its durability and visual appeal, ensuring your patio remains both stylish and well-protected.
