"With driveway permit already in hand, I Requested quotes on Angie's list 3/13, Tony immediately called the next morning prior to anyone else and was promptly onsite as agreed to do an estimate 3/15. After i agreed on the quote he asked for a deposit to get started so i made an appointment for the following Thursday 3/21 when i was off work to take care of everything, that Wednesday 3/20 his crew did the forms so the inspector could inspect it. Inspector came and inspected 3/21 around 11-12:00, after a few messages back and forth about some adjustments the inspector wanted and some pricing issues (mostly inspectors fault), Tony's crew started at 1:30 and within 2 hours the apron was completely done and roped off, I was amazed at the speed of service because I literally barely had time to get the cashiers check from the bank before these guys were completely done...lol...His price was a bit high for my area (roughly 300 more, no biggie), but Tony and his crew was definitely worth every extra cent based on the speed, communication and quality of how he and his crew gets the job done, and the quality was far better than I anticipated or even initially asked for...I'll Definitely be calling this amazingly efficient crew for my next project and would highly recommend them to anyone out there looking for speed, communication and quality....Thanks Tony Madina! A++"

"I was suspicious at first because Brian's bid was less than half compared to two other bids. Yet, we were completely satisfied. In fact, the first day, Brian's workers stayed until 9 at night pouring hot water over the just poured concrete because the weather had turned a bit colder than expected and they wanted to be sure it set correctly. In addition, now, 2 months later, the grass they planted on both sides of our new driveway is coming up well. Great job, Brian!!!!!"

"The service was excellent I think the price was a tad high but I think thatâ s due to Covid and the cost of concrete Iâ m not real versed on that. But he was on time he had to wait all day for the concrete that was supposed to be there early. And the job was finished promptly and looks wonderful."

Customers say: Quick response

"Stunning! Jack went over and above what I expected. Excellent craftsmanship, unbelievable work ethic! Met his father who is also in the business. Jack is at least a second generation concrete guy. Both are of good character and solid work ethic. Amazing work which makes my 1968 house look almost new! (Great price, too.)"

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in Greensboro, NC

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
