"George Fetherman and his son Jim performed two separate jobs at my home in Canadensis, Pa. <br /> The first job was to remove and install new cedar siding. George Fetherman was very responsive in coming out to inspect the home and providing an estimate for the siding work. He carefully explained exactly what they were planning to do and what materials would be used. I accepted his proposal and the work was performed on the dates they scheduled when the contract was signed. The job was very professionally done and new siding looks great. <br /> The second job was to make repairs to my 30 year old deck. The deck is quite large, approximately 16' x 32', and had multiple structural problems due to rotted wood. The initial estimate was to replace the primary support beam and four joists. Again, the proposal described exactly what work was to be performed and what materials would be used. The work started on the date estimated when the contract was signed. While the work was being performed and many of the deck boards were removed, it was clear that four additional joists had to be replaced. Fortunately, George Fetherman had planned for a couple of extra days in his schedule and we amended the contract for the additional work. The primary support beam was made from six 16' 2x12s bolted as a triple 32' beam. All of the joists were double 16' 2x12s. Once again, the job was very professionally done and the deck is now structurally solid and safe. <br /> I give George Fetherman and Son my highest recommendation and I will plan use them for any additional projects at my home. <br />"

"The project consisted of a full bathtub replacement, shower wall tiling, floor tiling, light/fan installation, and some wall damage repairs. Since we had him here for tiling the bathroom we also had a mud area to the back deck tiled as well. John was great from start to finish. He was very responsive when we contacted him. He was up front and straight forward when we hit snags in the project and I always felt that he had our best interest at heart and was willing to do what was needed to make us feel happy and good about our choice to have him do the work. When the tub was removed, he found some mold and water damage in the wall behind the tub and the floor. He was able to roll with the punches and include replacing the floor for us without serious timeline or budget setbacks. All in all John was great to work with and we're very happy with the results and highly recommend him."
