"Not one asphalt companies ever contacted me and just one company came out to measure and forgot about me thereafter. But as to KE sealcoating, they came out when they said they would and have me a start date and did above what I had expected. Their price was exactly on budget. I was immensely impressed with their professionalism. I would recommend them to anyone. Top notch company. I’ve now had 2 projects from angys list that proved to be invaluable."

"My experience with Priority Paving was A+! The price was very reasonable. The workmanship and quality of the finished product was outstanding. The crew showed up on time, worked efficiently, and cleaned up after the job was complete. The communication with Jake, the owner was exceptional. If he said he would text, email, or call at a certain time, he always followed through. I knew exactly what was going on with the job at all times. I highly recommend Priority Paving and would definitely use them again in the future."

"Company President Will McCuen and his team responded to our calls promptly and were always on time. They are EXPERTS in what they do - combining the art and science of slab adjustments. They explained fully what they were going to do and did it on time and at the estimated cost. We received another estimate for this job and it was $2000 LESS than what Will quoted. But the other company did not inspire confidence and they said we would need to tear up (and later, replace) the hardwood floor in our bedroom and tile floor in our bathroom where the slab was sinking. Instead, Will was able to drill small holes and do patches of the areas damaged. So the resulting cost may actually have been less expensive than the competitor."

"I replaced my asphalt driveway. Jack returned my call right away, came for estimate when he said he would, did the work when he said he would. He discussed my options and gave me all the info I needed to make a decision about work to be done. Great job, very courteous, would definitely recommend and use again."

"Our property, a small four-acre farm, had previously shared a driveway with our neighbors, which was on their property.  They informed us that they wanted to discontinue that arrangement forcing us to install a new driveway wholly on our property.  We had previously had a mostly gravel drive terminating in cement at that house.  The new route went in front of our home and necessitated the removal of our existing sidewalk leading to the front door.  The total length of the new driveway was in excess of a 1000' from the existing concrete at our garage to our road frontage.  We solicited several bids and looked at several different types of drives including concrete, asphalt, and pavers.  In the end we decided against concrete due to the way it weathers and can crack and against asphalt due to the regular need for maintenance.  We chose pavers for the portion in front of our home based on appearance and to add value to the home.  We opted to use gravel to run out to the road due to cost. <br /> The team worked very quickly.  The whole job, which was extensive and required substantial excavation was complete within one week.  We were able to take advantage of some price breaks from the manufacturer to lower our cost.  Our flexibility in being able to begin work immediately and to allow them to dump excess dirt on our property further reduced cost. <br /> We have been very pleased with the final product. <br /> We did want to have a small paver apron installed at the road before transitioning to gravel, but they essentially balked at that primarily because there were two natural gas access valves in the path.  However, Accubrick sold us enough extra bricks that I was able to complete that work myself.  That would be my only issue, but I think they were within their right to refuse work they were uncomfortable with. <br />"

"After reviewing our situation CFS recommended we contact a brick mason to rebuild the support columns.  His conclusion was that it would not be a good investment to utilize their services for the repair I needed.  He also surveyed our fireplace and attached porch and noted potential areas to keep and eye on. <br /> No pressure at all to contract for services, he was very knowledgeable and professional.  He provided good background information for us to understand what had caused the problems (ground settling) and how to monitor for future changes. <br /> While we did not contract with CFS I would not hesitate to recommend them or use them in the future. <br />"

"Wow! Roofers were here at 7 AM and left at 7 PM. New roof done and they cleaned every square inch of driveway, yard and porch. Two gentlemen from the Honduras and one from Mexico. They were the sweetest, most polite and hardworking guys. My roof looks great. Allstate will be installing new gutters in a couple weeks. Highly recommended for price and workmanship. Me and my husband are very happy!"

FAQs for asphalt paving installation projects in Greer, SC

Most driveways wrap up in roughly a week. Allow two to three days for installation, followed by an additional two to three days for the surface to cure. Concrete and asphalt follow this timeline, whereas a gravel job often finishes more quickly. Laying out the schedule upfront makes it easier to plan your week and your budget.

Sealer prevents water, salt, and UV rays from damaging the surface. Apply a fresh coat every one to three years, and you’ll slow down the growth of cracks, avoid pricey repairs, and keep the driveway looking sharp. A local professional can handle the job efficiently and ensure even coverage.

Material is the significant driver when it comes to the lifespan of a driveway. Asphalt stays strong for about 20 years, concrete lasts 30 to 40 years, and paver stones can last 50 to 100 years because you can swap out damaged bricks. With regular top-ups, a gravel drive can also reach the century mark. Knowing these timelines helps you map out long-term maintenance and replacement costs.

Repaving strips everything down and starts fresh, letting you change the layout or improve drainage before pouring new material. Resurfacing, on the other hand, adds a top layer over a solid base, giving you a facelift without the need for a complete demolition. Go with repaving when the base is failing; choose resurfacing when the structure is sound and you just need a new surface.
