With over 30 years of personal experience of sales and installations of Ceramic Tile and Natural Stone Tile, many other phases of home improvements were either included or supervised by me. My normal billing procedure is to ask for 1/2 down with any major credit card, check or cash with progress payments until the end of the project. The 1/2 down is to cover materials specifically required for your project and to secure a firm commitment in blocking out the time on my schedule required to get the job done. A majority of my projects involve owners or property management who can not readily visit the property being worked on. To keep people informed and involved. I use the internet to send send proposals, invoices, receive payments, upload CAD drawings and upload progress pictures via email or to a secure website. If there are any questions, concerns or comments about any phase of the project, I try to make it easy to communicate and document my customer's needs. All uploaded photos can have comments on them, and online conversation threads can be created to document everything that is discussed about the project. All of these online interactions are secure and only available to me, my design/quality control staff and you. I returned the unused part in their own packaging and they refused to provide a refund! Apparently, there's some hidden small print in their return policy that if you open the box and touch the product, that item is no longer eligible for a refund. They claim that the part showed signs of installation such as scuff marks. I asked for the part to be sent back to me for inspection by other professionals, but they refused because they disposed of the part. I've never encountered with such a scam company as this one and advise all to stay away from their misleadings! Good luck trying to get a refund from them, you're not getting one."
