"Greg the inspector came out, nice guy very knowledgeable, I spent 14800 in waterproofing and mold removal, new sump pump and a air purifier. Greg and I went over everything the crew was going to do. Well where the water issue I was most concerned about , they side step and only put the drain tile down the middle and not at both sides. Stay Dry ended up sending 1 person to put tile in on both sides and fixed that issue, now I am having water issue where I was not having issues before and come to find out where my water line comes in they just put gravel under and did not put the concrete back in that area. So now I have a new leak and I can't seem to get this company to come back out for a 3rd time to fix this issue. Also I have water coming up from the newly concrete floor, I was told that the concrete has to cure for awhile which I understand that, but I don't think it should be seeping up along the cracks where the new and old concrete meets. Waiting on this company to correct."

"For the homeowners who discovered mold in their home, and are stressed and worried about the potential cost of the eradication process, you need not look any further than these guys! Craig showed up promptly on the day day and time of our appointment, and my wife and I were immediately impressed and comfortable with his warmth and knowledge! During his assessment, he took his time pointing out the obvious areas and certain problems we never noticed! He did this not to frighten or pressure us, but being informative about the reason for for the presence of the mold! But what shocked us was the total cost of eradication...it was almost half of what 2 other companies had quoted us! His crew of young men worked tirelessly and were friendly and courteous to a fault. "Raschke Concrete and Construction was hired to pour 2 concrete slabs and 2 transition pieces at our business (The Sandstone Retreat) totaling 14 yards on concrete for the price of $10,000. The owner Gabriel Raschke assured me that it would be no problem and that he could start next but he required half the money to get started. We told him that my wife and I got him name off of Angi's list but since we didn't know him we were only willing to give him 2,500 now and when he was finished with the forms we would give him a check for $5,000 to pay for the 14 yards of concrete. The concrete was supposed to be poured on Friday February 28th, 2025 so I took a personal day to supervise the job. Gabriel Raschke came Friday morning and informed me that the concrete will not be there until Monday March 3rd, 2025. I was not happy about this but if it had to be pushed back then it gets pushed back but I told him that I would not be on site that day. I instructed a good friend that was doing some work at the Sandstone Retreat that day to keep an eye on them and let me know how the concrete progress was going. The 1st concrete truck showed up around 12:45 on Monday March 3, 2025 and Raschke Concrete and Excavation started the concrete slab. I called my friend and was asking how the concrete was going. He informed me that they started so I said send me some pictures. He sent me some pictures and had some concerns about how it looked but I figured that it would be fine. My friend sent me more pictures about 20 minutes later and confirmed my concerns. I called my friend at the Sandstone and asked what was going on and he told me that it's not good. I sent Gabriel Raschke a text at 3:16 PM and asked what was going on but didn't get a response back from him until 6:37 PM saying that he is going to call the concrete company because they put to much calcium in the concrete and it set up to quickly. Gabriel called me and told me the whole story and said that there was too much Calcium in the concrete and he could get the job done because it set up to quickly. I told him that was not my problem and asked him how they are going to fix it. He said that he will put a skim coat of mortar on it and it would look good. I told him that won't fix the problem and that I want it all chipped out and removed."

"If you use everdry, don't expect good service after the sale. They won't accept service calls directly and when leaving call back messages, they don't call back. They will blame it on computer problems or any excuse to not call back. Very dissatisfied with their service as I did in fact use them."

"I’m only giving a one star review because they were able to get us on the schedule quickly. Everett seemed very friendly and honest when he came out to give us a quote to widen our driveway and extend our extension patio so we decided to hire Hastings and Sons. Now with HUGE regret. This is a slimy business. Partial payment was due at the beginning of the job and the remaining was due at the completion of the job. We went ahead and paid the remaining payment without the job being FULLY completed (ignorant on my part) the only thing left to do was saw cut and clean up, we were told someone would back the following morning, here we are 4 days later and no one has showed up to complete the job. Everette and someone named Tim who wasn’t even on the job and told me two jobs were mixed up told me it would be taken care of (yesterday). If concrete is left too long without the control joints being cut it will crack, we are past 96 hours with no saw cuts! Not to mention I told the project manager I wanted our patio to be rounded and it was not, he did a walk through the morning of pouring and talked about the square footage but nothing was staked out so I didn’t even think to bring it up again since I already told him and showed him a picture of what I wanted, he said I should have mentioned that during the walk through. This part I was okay with getting over until it turned into a bigger problem. They left my front yard a mess, there is concrete smeared on our existing patio, concrete on the siding of our house, basement windows, the quality of their work is bad. Sloppy, the extension of the driveway isn’t even. If I could do it all over again I would have hire the contractor who’s price was significantly higher. I would not recommend Hastings and Sons to anyone and will never use them again for future projects. Do yourself a favor and don’t go for the cheapest quote, I know better and still did it. I should have been more thorough when researching the company, their reviews are loads of complaints and they are not on the BBB that’s usually a red flag. Lesson learned, you get what you pay for! Good thing is I was able to stop payment on the second check. They’ll get paid when they actually FINISH the job."

"I posted this review and received a derogatory response from the company. I am reposting it with the information to validate that I was a customer of this company in October of 2014. I also provided photos in my original post of the things that I mentioned in the review. Flavio Pinheiro would never show up when he promised. The job kept getting delayed. All throughout this experience, he kept taking jobs out of state, and also claiming illnesses, to the detriment of my job. I travel for work, and can't be on top of these projects 24/7. They never finished the job, they did the mow strip incorrectly, and they left trash, chunks of concrete, and lawn damage behind. I finally had to have someone else come and finish it, costing me an additional $1500. They used some of my landscape trim to form the borders for the concrete pour, instead of creating themfrom their own supplies, promising that it would be easy to clean up. It wasn't, and the trim was no longer usable. He hired a Customer Service person, but that panned out to be worthless. I would not recommend this con artist to do anything in my yard ever again. As to the comment left from the company on my original review, I did indeed have a contract with Maxima Concrete, when Flavio Pinheiro was the owner. It may have changed hands since then, but the truth still stands for what I had to go through in October of 2014. I have attached a copy of the contract I had (with personal information blocked out) to prove it. The date of service for this contract was not accurate as posted, but this site does not allow for changes to that field. The site takes the date of the review as the date of the work done."

"My wife and I could not be happier with Christopher Brown and his crew. I got five estimates for our project and I knew from the moment I met Christopher that he was the one we wanted. He was professional, great communication, and did a truly outstanding job for us. And it was a real bonus to work with Christopher as a person. He's a hard-working man with strong character, does what he says he will do AND has an excellent sense of humor. Not only did we get a great job done on our concrete, but we feel like we made a friend. Will definitely use him again for future projects and highly recommend him to others."
