"NewHaus Roofing and Construction has no employees; they are contractors who subcontract all the work to independent contractors. The job was to fix a small hole in the roof created by a fallen tree limb. HewHaus assessed the damage and told me that to properly do the job, they would need to strip off 204 square feet of shingles, patch the 18-inch X 6-inch hole, replace the underlayment, and replace the shingles. They quoted me $17.15 a square foot to complete the job. The next day, the reps, a day laborer, and the laborer's girlfriend show up. The laborer stripped off only 133 sq ft of shingles and did not replace the underlayment. I turned to the reps and asked why he was not replacing the underlayment and why only 133 sq ft and I was given a bunch of excuses and lies. The laborer failed to tie the new shingles in with the existing ones properly, so I now have more leaks than before I called HewHaus. NewHaus could not fix the original problem and has no idea how to fix the new mess."

I paid $2,500 for the repair and was told that the slingers were warranted for 20 years, materials and workmanship. Obviously, this is still under warranty, but the company doesn’t appear to warranty their own work. The existing roof was installed in 2015. The repair by Coastal is about three years old. Again, tge shingles used are warranted 20 years, and the installer (Cory) should warranty his workmanship. I hired Coastal because they were the only roofing company I knew of and I want my money to stay in Lumberton.
