"This plumber was awesome! I have a 68 year old home that had a spider web of old plumbing (galvanized and copper and even rubber) and new plumbing (pvc) all mixed together with leaks everywhere and low water pressure. He crawled under the house and worked tirelessly removing all the old pipes and even discarded items that were cluttering up underneath my home. Then he replaced all old pipes with new pex lines and secured them to my joists instead of them just laying on the ground. He even went with me to Lowe’s to choose a new hot water heater and installed that for me. The final bill charged for all the work was very fair and I would recommend this professional to anyone who needs plumbing work done, big or small. "

"Bob was very professional and did everything we asked of him. He had to remove the old sink and facet before the new sink and etc was installed. The same with the new toilet. He removed all the old items and cleaned whatever mess was left. We will definitely use his services whenever we have any type of plumbing problem. <br />"

"I thought that I had a BIG problem with stopped up lines.  Mr. Bell quickly evaluated the situation and correctly determined that I did not need to tear up my walls, but all of the small valves in the cold water system needed to be replaced or repaired.  Faucets were of the $175 each variety, to he got valves to replace in the faucets.  After waiting for delivery of the parts, all was repaired quickly and correctly. <br>After he got done with my house, my brother-in-law had him go to my father-in-law's house next door and troubleshoot toilets that were not draining properly.  Discovered that the problem was a city lift station that was not working.  Mr. Bell called the city and got them to resolve their problem.  No charge for this service. <br>What we thought was an expensive problem was turned into a minor repair job.   <br> <br>"

"I do not remember the exact date or price. I remember Jere and his coworker showing up and helping me figure out my plumbing issue. I was so determined not to call a plumber because I was afraid of the cost. To make matters worst I called around and received some ridiculous quotes. I took it upon myself to snake, plumb and even remove the toilets to get to the drain to figure out what was wrong. I went to Lowes to buy a new toilet to replace the one I had and even took the toilet outside and flushed it with a hose. Well my light for my sump pump never went off so I didn't think it was that.  <br>I called ALL and not only did they not laugh they figured out the problem, schooled me on the problem and explained the sump pump to me and what could and should not go down the drain. I have since had to drain and clean the generator twice myself thanks to them showing me the what to do. They even helped me put my toilet back in place. They were amazing and hands down the most honest plumbers I have ever met and was very reasonable. When I move away and rent my house out they are the only plumbers we will use."

"Lee came out to see about replacing a bathtub in a small house we're having fixed up after a renter moved out. He quoted a price that was reasonable, and we considered getting him to do the job. He , also suggested that we get the tub resurfaced which would save us some money. We appreciate his advice and that's what we're going to do. (Had we replaced the tub, it would have been necessary to replace the surround, too. That was included in the price. We would have had to pay for the tub, etc. which I already had prices for.) <br /> If we have plumbing needs at our house, he will be the one we call. <br /> <br />"

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Gulfport, MS

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
