He arrived 15 minutes early, meticulously covered and taped the hearth area to keep everything clean, cleaned the chimney from up on the roof and then cleaned the fireplace through a hole in the plastic. He said he tries to leave things as clean, or cleaner, than when he arrived and he certainly did. He gave me some valuable information about how to prevent the fireplace from putting smoke in the room in a tightly sealed house. The whole visit took about 50 minutes. I was extremely pleased with the service and the cost."

"Called budget roofing for an estimate and he came out on the 6th gave me a quote on a repair to my leaking chimney area of my roof. I called and agreed to the price. The work was down 2 days later. He tore out around chimney, removed corner molding, and shingles as needed. He installed water & ice shield underlayment, installed new flashing, and re-roofed the area. He would have provided a close matching shingle but, my husband wanted the shingles he wanted up there so, he bought the ones for the job. This was done when we were having single digit days and had one warm day that the work could be done on. He was very understanding of my husband wanting the shingles he wanted and he did a great job. The work took a bit of time but, he did a really great job I was told by my husband later. Have had no problems since and was given a warranty for the labor as well. <br /> <br /> I would use this company with no problems or reservations again. Highly recommend them to all my friends as well.  <br />"

"The estimate for repair was $1470. Various things were done to make the drainage better. In the next rain, I noticed water was still getting in. They came back and figured out that most of my chimney had damage from (for example) woodpeckers. I then paid an additional $2280. It looks nice now. I think they did a good job, but it cost a lot, and a lot more than the original estimate. They were punctual and professional, but communication could have been better. Some personal explanations about what they were doing and why would have helped. What I got was electronic descriptions of what they were doing, but not why and the reasons it was the right thing to do. It is hard to judge the quality for a long-term solution to my water problem without observing long-term."

"These guys are a good-natured, enthusiastic, professional, and hard-working crew!  We were getting joist reinforcement done under the house and the workers for that company said they needed our metal ducting removed and set to the side so they could get to the joists and jack up the floor, and then replaced when they were done.  I contacted Redd's, who I had used once before for air conditioner repair, and James came to inspect, and let me know our ducting was duct board instead of metal and would fall apart if they tried to move it and put it back in place.  It was almost 30 years old and probably in need of replacement anyway.  James gave us a quote by the next day for all new metal ducting.  They had to time their work in coordination with the other company, and with 3 days notice, they were here by 7:45 a.m. and had all the duct work removed and carted away by 9:15.  Two days later, the other company finished the joist work by noon and Redd's was back that afternoon to install enough of the new duct work so we could have partial A/C over the weekend.  They were back on Monday and finished the whole thing.  They not only installed all new duct work, but also replaced vent covers that were rusting a little, and installed all new vapor barrier, which we had already contracted the other company for but got to cancel and saved $600.  They worked very hard, but always had time to answer my questions and explain what they were doing, and even pointed out a small water pipe leak for me so I could get it repaired.  I won't have any problem using this very professional company again. <br />"

"I reached out to Alatech for a quote and Larry immediately gave me a call back within 10 minutes. He offered a reasonable quote and available appointments right off the bat. His report was very detailed which was great since we are out of state investors and were not present for the inspection. The report was emailed to me within a 24 hr turnaround and he was able to hop on a call to go over all the questions I had for him. Totally recommend him for any home inspection. Reliable, punctual and thorough."

"First time job was done very well and all painters were very professional.  We selected a color from a little sampler which you couldn't tell what color it really was and when the job was finished the room looked pink, which wasn't going to work.  My wife was very unhappy about the way the color turned out so the owner was asked to repaint it and we would pay him and purchase our own paint.  He wasn't very happy but agreed to for a set amount.  The second crew had only one of the original painters with them and they did a much worse job by not covering the floor and so we had to clean up paint drippings, they left wide paint brush strokes next to trim on the walls and one of the workers used the bathroom and left it in a mess.  When we confronted the owner with our findings he became belligerent and said we didn't know what we were talking about and then stormed out the door.  We tried to find out what he was going to do to correct the problem and he would never answer our phone calls.  Later we went to the BBB he said he would talk with us about the problem but by that time we had our fair share of the nonsense so we have never settled the issue and to this date we refuse to deal with the owner again."
