"Roger came to my home to provide an estimate. He arrived promptly. He was professional, very pleasant, and easy to talk to. I showed him the work I needed to have done. He measured the rooms for flooring. He spent time talking with me about some other issues I had with my house and offered some good ideas. I don't think he completely understood my vision for a change in the layout of the shower in the master bath but I would have revisited that topic with him prior to hiring him. I was concerned about a possible cat "accident" ruining new floors and Roger had a great idea to have the planks stained and sealed on site. This would help prevent moisture from getting in between the planks. Roger provided an estimate with moderate details. His estimate was about what I expected and in line with my budget. He called to follow up with me on the estimate. I wasn't home at the time and he left a message. I always appreciate it when a service provider checks back. It makes me feel like they want my business. I give him an A+ for doing that. I liked Roger. A minor health issue come up in my family and I decided to table the project for the time being. <br />"

"<p>We were in the process of selling a home, and we needed to reroof a house.  EL Construction made did a fantastic job in a very timely manner. Due to recent storms in the area, roofers we had contacted were for a month or more. We needed to have the house reroofed because we received a excellent offer on the home but it was contingent on the reroofing.  </p> <p>I had heard many good things about EL Construction.  I contacted the owner Eddie Layba and he had a very competitive estimate, but more importantly he would start that day or the next.  I was glad to know that EL Construction was a licensed roofing contractor, bonded, and insured.  I discovered that they contract on very large projects, but also handle smaller projects like mine.   The company is very efficient and take pride in they're work and customer service.</p> <p>They used the best material, cleaned up the yard after removing the multiple layers of old roof, put down a high quality underlayment, reroofed the house, with new drip mental, added two greatly needed wind turbine wind vents, and I noticed they also repainted all the stand pipes coming out of the roof to match the new roof.</p> <p>I also appreciated that the work crew had a great attitude, very upbeat, civil, and diligent.</p> <p>Wow! I was and continue to be pleased....plus the roof is finished and everything is looking good for selling the house and closing.</p> <p><br></p> <p><br></p> <p><br></p> <p><br></p>"

"I live in Vancouver, BC and the company is based in Houston, TX so a degree of trust is necessary before any order is placed. In my case the awning was sent via truck freight and a large metal-clad crate arrived, seemingly intact. Not immediately apparent when the goods were received was the fact that a fork lift had penetrated the base of the crate and crushed the canopy beyond repair. When I attempted to claim damage insurance from the shipper they sent out a damage inspector and I thought everything was on-track. To my amazement, the freight company declined responsibility for the damage and refused to pay any part of the claim. At this point James Threadgill of Classic Copper Works stepped in to offer a full replacement of the damaged item at no cost to me. I have now received the replacement item (this time sent by FedEx rather than the dodgy truck freight firm) and it is perfect. Classic Copper Works certainly did not make a profit on this transaction but they earned my respect. Thanks."

FAQs for handyman service projects in Guymon, OK

Winterizing shields your home’s structure and key systems from snow, ice, and freezing temperatures. By sealing drafts and tuning up heaters, you cut energy waste, extend the life of appliances and windows, and avoid surprise repair bills. A small up-front investment keeps rooms cozy and protects the value of your biggest asset all winter long.

Yes, it’s important to prepare your sprinkler system for the winter. Blowing out the lines and insulating above-ground parts keeps valves and pipes from splitting when temperatures drop. A quick winterization visit costs far less than repairing burst components in spring, and it ensures your lawn--and your wallet--stay in good shape once the thaw hits.

A full home winterization plan goes beyond sealing windows and pipes. You might schedule a home energy audit, cover outdoor furniture, service the snowblower, swap smoke-detector batteries, add outlet gaskets, and hang storm doors. Each step beefs up your home’s protection, cuts drafts, and lowers the chance of costly cold-weather damage.
