Customers say: Quality work

"Needed a wing wall repaired. They tore down the damaged part and re-framed and stuccoed the new. Excellent work. Professional and polite. Completed the job on time and cleaned up. I would use them again for stucco work and would recommend them to others. Price was reasonable as well."

"Everything went very smoothly. Stephen gave me a thorough estimate and took his time walking around my property and asked a lot of questions to get a better idea of what we wanted to do with our exterior painting project. Once I approved the estimate, work started practically right away. Sandoval came over, and over the course the next week, he meticulously patched and fixed all of the spots in my stucco, sealed everything up, and painted our house in Behr's Falcon Grey, as mixed by Sherwin Williams. My wife said it best after she saw the house finished, "it's beautiful"."

"(Ver en espanol abajo) First class work! I contracted for exterior painting of my two-story house I had not painted in twenty years. Gonzalez Painting did a very thorough job, pressure cleaning of the house, roof tiles, my 22-accordio- shuttered-windows , repair of all hairline cracks, primer application to all walls, caulking application to all window perimeters, THEN they painted the masonry and stucco surfaces. They even remove stuff I had attached to the house and put it back after painting. I have seen neighbors paint their house in one day only to see the stucco come down and the color get dirty with the first storm. I learned a lot about the right way to paint a house with these guys. Gonzalez painting will send you a well drafted contract, insurance and permits proofs, all as it should be. I have never hired a more professional and knowledgeable contractor in South Florida! Extremely satisfied and recommending Mario Gonzalez painting to all.

"Stucco repair was well done. He was very responsive, reasonably priced, visited the house and listened to what I needed, scheduled a day and time and then did exactly what he said he would do...and did it well. I have my new go to stucco/plaster guy. Highly recommend."

FAQs for traditional stucco repair or partially replace projects in Hallandale, FL

Minor stucco fixes—like sealing small cracks or adding fresh caulk—often wrap up in an hour or two. Larger jobs that call for cutting out damaged sections, installing new lath, and layering fresh stucco can stretch to three or four days because each coat needs time to cure. A pro removes loose material, cleans and dampens the area, applies a bonding agent, and builds up new layers, matching texture and restoring the wall’s weather shield.

Watch for a stucco surface that stays damp days after a storm, develops dark stains, or feels soft or spongy under light pressure. Inside, moisture rings, peeling paint, or soft drywall around windows point to the same issue. Any of these red flags mean water is trapped behind the siding, and it’s time to call a stucco pro before rot or mold sets in.

Give your stucco a once-over every spring and fall. Semiannual checks let you catch hairline cracks, stains, or damp spots before they snowball into pricey repairs. Keep a flashlight handy, look closely around windows and doors, and call a pro if you notice anything soft or discolored. Staying ahead of minor issues protects both your curb appeal and your home’s weather barrier.

A pro starts by scraping away loose material, then cleans and lightly wets the area so new stucco will stick. After brushing on a bonding agent, they build fresh layers, letting each coat cure before adding the next. The final step is matching the texture and color so the patch blends in and the wall regains full weather protection.

Think of repair as a patch: the pro fixes only the visible crack or hole. Remediation goes deeper—crews strip away the compromised stucco, correct the root problem (often water or mold), then rebuild the wall. If tests show structural rot or trapped moisture, remediation is the safer, longer-lasting route; otherwise, a straightforward repair often does the trick.
