"Everything about my experience with Outdoor Solutions was positive. Jim was very easy to work with, flexible, and timely in his response to my questions. I was very appreciative that his company was willing to take on a smaller deck repair job. I had contacted at least 6 other companies over the last year, looking for someone willing to come out and fix two deck posts that were heaving out of the ground and pushing up one corner of my deck. Most companies refused to even call me back, and the others were not willing to look at my problem unless I wanted a complete tear-down and rebuilding of my deck. It seems that most companies don't want anything to do with customers who won't or can't spend $30,000 or more on a project, so I was thrilled that Jim was willing to have someone from one of his crews come work on my deck. He sent out Joshua to do the work less than a week after contacting him. I couldn't believe the quick response and the flexibility Outdoor Solutions provided in order to fit my repair project in around other larger projects. Joshua's work was exceptional in all ways. In my opinion, he did the work of a 2-man crew and worked until everything was perfect. He took pride in his work and was very detail-oriented. In addition, he was very friendly, courteous, professional, and hard-working. I am now able to enjoy my deck for the rest of the summer. "I hired Roof-to-Deck Restoration for a two part job: restain the deck and powerwash the paver patio under the deck. The patio is about 12'x20' or so. The main goal was that it needed jointing sand and I needed the moss, grass, ant mounts removed along with a gernal cleaning. I infomed them of my intent prior to sending money or anything and they affirmed that the power washing would definitely prep the patio to the point where jointing sand could be applied. Upon completion, the patio was mostly good but there were spots that needed additional work. Not ideal but not a big enough of a deal as I could take care of them myself. The deck (which sits above the patio) desperately needed to be power washed and re-stained. It is a fairly small deck (10'x10' or so). The quote was a little high but I was OK with it as I was presuming they were a top notch company based on reviews. They first came out and power washed/cleaned the deck of the old stain. They had left some pretty large portions that still had stain on them. I contacted them and they commented that they were in fact big and someone came out and cleaned those areas again. The next step was to stain the deck which went well. There were areas that had a significant amount more of stain than the others and other areas that looked like it was barely even touched. Overall it looks good, but knowing about the variation in the amount of stain used in areas hinders my overall opinion of it. Upon completion, I noticed that there were numerous areas puddles of stain on the paver patio that lies under my deck from where the stain dripped from the above deck. Most of them were small (1"-2" in diameter), but they were everywhere. In addition, there were two large areas, one about 12" in diameter and another one that was probably the equivalent of 14-16" in diameter (it was an oblong shape). I informed them of this and they mentioned that they would be sending someone out to clean the stains. They ended up coming out 4 times to try and clean the stains (along with me power washing) but they are still noticeable. The patio bricks look much more worn than the rest of the patio due to the cleaners they have used as well. The manager finally stopped out to take a look at the stains. The overall summary was to just let them sit and hope that they come out over the winter: not exactly what I was wanting to hear. After all is said and done, the deck mainly looks very nice with some areas that could have used more attention. The patio stains though will be a reminder though that I won't hire them again the future."
