"I think that the job turned out to be bigger than Stephen had imagined over the phone. Site unseen, he estimated the job to take about 4 hours. It actually took closer to 6 hours (which included two other small jobs during what would have been downtime for Stephen while I went to the store to get more parts). He worked diligently. And, the finished installation not only looked professionally installed, but it functioned properly."

"I had a great experience with Craftsmen from start to finish. Our sales rep was knowledgeable, friendly and personable. The office staff was responsive, helpful and transparent. The roofing crew was speedy and skilled. The siding team was truly impressive - it SEEMS like simple work but watching their process i could see the intricacy and skill required to get it done right and they excelled. After the project, one minor issue arose and it was solved and handled within hours, not days (which would have still been acceptable). Overall we had a positive experience for a big project and felt we got a good deal on our investment in our home."

"Kris was on easy to book the appointment. He was one time and professional. I had a minimum two hour period which he filled with the jobs he did. After installing the new light, he went over how to program it & he tested it to be sure it worked correctly. After removing the window treatments, he put them in the garage for me since they were big. He offered & I agreed to his patching the holes where the window boxes were attached to the wall. He was pleasant to work with."

"I think he's very professional and knowledgeable. He's very anxious to do not just the minimum but to look at what the real problem is and not only try to correct the original problem but make sure everything is corrected. He used less time than he had originally estimated for the price so he gave me a lower price."

"The description stated everything from minor plumbing and electrical work to shelving and drywall repair.  The Handyman only had skills for 1 of 5 of my original list so the value of this deal purchase was limited.  He stated that: <br /> (1) doesn't install faucets <br /> (2) doesn't solder leaky pipes <br /> (4) Cannot surface mount wiring from an existing electrical to hang a fan <br /> (4) doesn't have miter saw to install moulding <br /> (5) has never installed an attic insulator kit <br /> (6) was not familiar with using seam caulk to prevent leaks when installing new gutter parts <br /> I had to revise my list three times after the purchase.   Also, it was only when he arrived that he asked me if I had all the supplies on -hand that would be needed for the repairs.  Advise the customer prior to the repair date of what they must buy in preparation. <br /> Nice guy and the items we finally agreed upon were  simple tasks and done fine, but far from my priorities. <br />"

"The owner came within a few hours of my request, carried a ladder, climbed up to inspect our roof near the chimney, told me my roof did not need repair after all. Did not charge for the service even though I suggested I should pay him for his trouble."

FAQs for handyman service projects in Hamburg, MN

Winterizing shields your home’s structure and key systems from snow, ice, and freezing temperatures. By sealing drafts and tuning up heaters, you cut energy waste, extend the life of appliances and windows, and avoid surprise repair bills. A small up-front investment keeps rooms cozy and protects the value of your biggest asset all winter long.

Yes, it’s important to prepare your sprinkler system for the winter. Blowing out the lines and insulating above-ground parts keeps valves and pipes from splitting when temperatures drop. A quick winterization visit costs far less than repairing burst components in spring, and it ensures your lawn--and your wallet--stay in good shape once the thaw hits.

A full home winterization plan goes beyond sealing windows and pipes. You might schedule a home energy audit, cover outdoor furniture, service the snowblower, swap smoke-detector batteries, add outlet gaskets, and hang storm doors. Each step beefs up your home’s protection, cuts drafts, and lowers the chance of costly cold-weather damage.
