Not only was the work done to absolute perfection, but the precautions to keep everyone safe, the workmanship, the communication, and flexibility was outstanding. Duane was in constant communication with me on problems and adjustments that had to be made during the entire project. We all know that once you start taking apart a 30 year old home, you will find surprises that can be stressful. The beauty of this contractor is that he never painted a grim picture and always provided a solution that was detailed, made sense and offered me the security that any underlying issues would be fixed. His on-site project manager came with skills to address my vision. Dobson took control of the site and brought great ideas based on the current state of my home and his vast experience and commitment to customer satisfaction. Mid-stream into the project, we decided that a frame around a window was not exactly how we had pictured it. This was after the siding had been completed on that side of the house however, even though there was going to be a fair amount of work to remove the siding and frame the window the way we wanted it, Dobson did not hesitate to accommodate our vision. Each day the work area was cleaned and safe enough to let my dog and family enjoy the front and backyards. The end result of his efforts are nothing less than stellar! Duane Mainardi Builders transformed my home into a structure that you would think was built no more than a year or two ago and is by far now one of the best looking homes in our development. I have had numerous neighbors and even realtors come by, compliment and ask for Duane’s contact information. There are no regrets here and I would not hesitate to hire Duane again or recommend to anyone who is looking for quality work. "I found this company here on Angies list. I read all the reviews and now I want to add mine. Bob Cowan answered my phone call immediately and came the next day. He not only re-cleaned our flue that had just been done but installed a new flue into our badly constructed chimney. Even after having to cut into our chimney 2x to get the flue to fit he stuck to his original quote. Bob (and both of his crew) were extremely professional and the kind of company you don't find too often. DON"T hesitate to call him."

"Poor installation quality, lack of follow up for warranty coverage. They sub out to local contracts with apparently no quality controls. Gunner put on a new roof, new siding, new front doors, and new gutters. Not one of those was done to complete satisfaction. They covered my dryer vent with Hardie board which could have caused a fire if I didn't smell the burning smell while I was doing laundry. My front 2 doors came in the wrong size after 8 weeks and they had to reorder which took another 8 weeks. Finally, the doors were installed improperly: surrounding trim too short, covered a gap under the step with flashing, and didn't align the doors properly. The flat roof part had to be redone 3 times and it still wasn't properly installed. The property manager at the time, who has since left, was very nice and gave me $1500 credit. I had 2 other roofers out since to look at the problem and both said the flashing was installed improperly and they have to pull off boards etc and this will co"

"These folks did a great job removing the old shingles and replacing with architectural grade shingles. They completed the job in one day. It looks great! However, after they left, later I found a wicked roll of nail gun nails that they missed in the cleanup. I'm really glad nobody stepped on them, because that would have caused an emergency room visit for sure. If not for that, I would have given them five stars."
