"This was the easiest, smoothest home repair we've ever had done! Richard and his team are true professionals. Richard came out to give us an estimate in person. He explained every step of the process, offered us options, examined the roof, took measurements and gave us a written proposal all in about an hour. All of our questions were answered. Richard KNOWS roofs! The day of the installation, the team showed up at 7 AM to set up and everything was done and cleaned up before 5 PM. This included stripping the roof down to the plywood, adding new waterproof barrier, new flashing, shingles and cleaning gutters and yard of all debris. We couldn't be more pleased and have already recommended his company to friends. Thank you, Richard!"

"The B & R team was a pleasure to work with through the whole process, from quote to paying after the job was done. We had heard water dripping onto a ceiling on our second floor during a heavy storm, and called several roofers for quotes. Five different companies came out, two of which wanted to replace the whole roof, and three that said it should just be repaired. During that process, several of the companies mentioned that our chimney needed repointing as well, so we added that to the job. Robert Jr. came out for B & R on a Monday after I had spoken with them on a Friday, and I had detailed quotes in my email that night for the work. They were quick to respond to questions by email, text, and phone. Once I got them the signed contract, they were in touch within the week to get the work scheduled, and had their mason and roofing team on site two weeks after I had gotten them the contract. A day and a half later, I had a beautifully repointed chimney with a cap, rotted wood around the base of the chimney replaced, perfect flashing, and a roof that no longer leaks at all. The team kept me informed throughout the process, letting me know about any issues they encountered and keeping me posted on their timelines. After they were done, they cleaned up the site completely (and even cleaned up the leaves and sticks that were in the driveway from a recent storm). The final price came in just slightly over the original quote because they had to replace more wood than they were originally expecting around the base of the chimney - it took more materials and more time than what was covered under the original estimate, but only cost a little more than the quote. All in all a great process, and I'd highly recommend Robert Jr. and the team at B & R for any roofing or chimney related work that you need."

"Luis and his crew were among three contractors who bid on repointing the exterior part of our century-old leaking chimney. His bid was competitive, but he suggested that, for a few hundred more, he could simply replace the chimney to a little below the roof line, and avoid future problems. (The other two contractors didn't do masonry.) Then we discovered rot in the roof around the chimney. He ended up replacing a lot more wood, re-flashing, matching our existing shingles, and giving us a neatly-built new chimney, all within the agreed price. We are very happy with their work."

"We just had our roof replaced by Global Roofing. It was amazing to work with Andrea and Freddy. We couldn’t have been happier with the whole experience! We got several quotes for our roofing job, changed our mind about the material along the way (went from metal to asphalt), and Andrea and Freddy were great throughout the process. Global Roofing had the best recommendations (one of the reasons we chose them), and after working with them we know why! Communication was amazing, if there were any delays due to ordering supplies like the skylights we were immediately informed, and the final scheduling for the project was also easy. "I cannot speak highly enough of Tom and Brad Green of Colonial Restorations. We have lived in our antique house for 16 years now, and like most old homes, some of its previous repairs were good, some not so good. Tom Green worked on this house for its previous owners, and his work was, by far, the best in the house. So, we continued to use Colonial - Tom, then Tom and Brad - as we learned the ropes about caring for an old house - our first house, old or new. Over the years, they have replaced sills and posts and beams, and rebuilt parts of our loose stone foundation. Most recently, they replaced the last original posts in our basement, (one of which was a tree trunk still with bark on it), including pouring new custom footings, in advance of our finally cementing the dirt floor. The work here is never easy - nothing is level, nothing is square - but the Greens' end result has always been beautiful - strong and made to last. Their prices are fair and without hidden costs....maybe not the lowest bid you might get, but you know it's a real bid that they will stand behind. They triage projects for us, giving us an idea of what other items will likely need attention in the next few years. We're not done with this house yet....we've never won the lottery, and there's always another repair..... and plan to use them again soon. I feel confident knowing that the next owners of this house, whoever they might be, will see the quality of the work and know that we cared enough to have the right people help us with the ongoing repair and maintenance of a 275+ year old house. I am a real person, a real customer, with no ties to the company, and was more than happy to write this review."
