"The project went well. Chris and his Son were polite and did a good job. Under the cold conditions they were able to provide a high quality product. The work they did in my garage looks amazing. They were also able to touch up my existing drywall and re-texture and paint to make the whole garage seamless. There were a few minor cracks to the seams that showed up. Chris is going to wait until the weather warms up to come back and take care of them. I'm confident this will be resolved and he was more than willing to address and take care of it. "I have worked with contractors in the past but, never had such kind, courteous, punctual, and patient young men as Jovon and Jeremy. They worked with me on the situation I was in. Arrived on time. Just toward the end of the install we discover I had ordered the door to wide I had a 36" and I needed a 32". So then I went online to find the right door. "We are undertaking an extensive exterior renovation of our c.1927 Tudor Revival and badly needed masonry restoration represented Phase I.
This was our first experience with a provider found on Angie's List and we were very pleased. I received a very prompt response to my initial request for an estimate and in comparison to other quotes we obtained, A O Handy was most in line with the extent of restoration we felt necessary as well as within our budget.
The work began within a few days of our having signed the contract and continued daily until completion. I was especially impressed with the crew's punctuality and how respectful they were of the jobsite. They tidied up  the work area everyday before they left.
I was also impressed by how well they were able to match the color of the new mortar to that contained within the existing grout lines. They also cleaned up the unsightly repairs where the previous homeowner had attempted to repoint sections of the brickwork himself years ago.
In summary, if you're looking for quality, old world craftmanship, I would strongly recommend AO Handy. It truly was a pleasure dealing with Andy, his son Arthur and the rest of the crew.

"Contacted Brian along with several other companies related to cracks in the foundation of my basement.  Brian was prompt in responding by phone and in person.  He was also very friendly and engaging in conversations, while also being extremely knowledgeable.  Brian expressed pride in his work and provided a lifetime warranty (which will transfer to the new owner as I am selling the house)  for the cracks his crew filled.  On the day the work was completed, a crew of 3 came within the scheduled time period and set straight to the job at hand.  During the course of the work Brian stopped by to check on the process and to provide direction on how to take care of a large crack in a particularly bad location (above cement sidewalk outside, and directly across from door jamb inside).  The workers took care of all of the cracks efficiently and thoroughly.  The crew leader (name escapes me) even filled in some cracks in the floor with extra filler that he had on hand.  Brian returned near the end of the process to ensure all went well., which it had.  I was thoroughly pleased with the service provided and would hire them again for future issues.

"Things started very slowly for us, because of constant rain in the beginning and then one or two of the guys were out sick or injured (not work related). But, once things got under way, everything went really well. First of all, our house is three stories tall and the garage is not attached, also the homes in this neighborhood are quite close to each other, so there wasn't a lot of space on the sides of the house for working. The stucco work made it so that you couldn't even see where the patching and repairs were. And, the painting is just beautiful. We needed some gutters replaced and they even cleaned out gutters which were not part of the job or contract. While the work was being done, there was stuff all over the yard, but at the end of each day it was all cleaned up and piled nicely. Bruce and his guys were very courteous and friendly. Whenever we brought up anything that we felt needed doing, they always took care of it. They never gave us some reason why it couldn't be done. As the work went along we discovered that a ceiling had fallen down in a sleeping porch that we just used for storage. It turned out that water was coming in from poor roofing that had been done years before. After first trying to calk it and finding out that didn't work, we had Bruce repair that section of the roof. So that was a completely separate job and the room is now dry and being brought back into working order. We were so happy with the exterior painting that we have now gone ahead to have some interior rooms redone (the walls torn out and replaced and painted.) The one bedroom that has been done is so beautiful that everyone now wants that to be their room. We went beyond what we had planned to do, so we are having to come to an end here, but we will definitely be getting Bruce back to do further work in the future."
