"I hired MyM painting to paint my large 2 story Victorian house using an authentic Victorian color palette. This type of paint job requires much skill and patience. I was not disappointed, they fulfilled my dream, just as l envisioned it. The owner (Melon) is a very joyous gentleman that enjoys his craft & satisfying his customer, making it a real pleasure to work with he and his crew. The vibe on the worksite is always good and they were here to do the work when they said they would. This company deserves the highest praise for their exceptional work!"

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Hartford City, IN

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
